Great tires overall. I have not put them at the limit, but you feel very secured with great grip. Especially impressive on wet. In one trip to Spain, I drove pretty high speeds with heavy rain for several hours. The car behaved very well with throughout with no aquaplaning whatsoever, and at that time the tires were already 70% wear out. The only problem of this tire is wear as the 4 tires lasted less than 20k miles. I am now switching to touring tires.

Really best all seasons tires in every condition of the road. Never a problem and excellent brake everytime you need.

Writing about the Kleber Quadraxer given 91% (215-55-16-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 14000 spirited miles
Purchased a pair of these tires in December 2010 whilst in Scotland commuting between Girvan (Ayrshire) and Manchester.
Have since driven through various amounts of snow up to 3" deep, ice, slush, standing water, heavy rain and dry roads up till June 2011 when summer tires eventually fitted.
Have found them excellent in all conditions, giving increased confidence. On black ice I had the back tires loose grip but the Quadraxer tires stuck like glue!
On compressed snow I acheived a 1:6 hill re-start without problems.
Fuel consumption has been excellent throughout and tire wear is equally good. I was almost tempted to leave these on all year because of their performance in heavy rain/standing water, but they were slightly noisier than standard tires.
They will definitely go back on this winter.

Writing about the Kumho Ecsta KU31 given 81% (225-45-17-W)
Driving on mostly country roads for 15000 spirited miles
Some of the published results and comparisons on this tire are a bit harsh, in my experience of 3x sets and 15k miles.

These KU31's can be bought for c£65 a tire for 225/45/R17 and to say they would challenge a ContiSport or PilotSport toe-to-toe is unfair - they are half the price after all!

Pros: Cheap, quiet, last forever (my rears have done 12k miles, w/5+mm tread still left!), comfortable, excellent dry grip...
Cons: Grip can be a bit random when 'cold', wet grip not up there with the big boys*,

* again, these are half price, align your expectations accordingly, or spend twice the money! And a Porsche 911 [996] C4S couldn't shake me on a wet March run, so wet grip isn't 'bad', per se.

I'd buy them again and as long as you aren't pretending to be Colin McRae in the wet, you'll be fine.

Good tires for reasonable price. One negative issue - compared even to my wintertires these tires are highly noisy. Driving on brick paved roads produces much noise. Maybe, that's because I've always had premium rubber before these tires.

Writing about the Dunlop SP StreetResponse given 57% (165-70-18-T)
Driving on mostly motorways for 56 average miles
I have had REAL problems finding a suitable eco tire for my Polo Blumotion (original model). The original Dunlop SP10s have ben discontinued, and the Streetresponse appears to be the replacement, but you CAN NOT get hold of them for love nor money. Its important to fit the correct type as the average mileage suffers hugely if a non-eco tire is used. For example, at one point I was unable to find SP10s so was forced to put on a pair of standard Firestones, the average m.p.g. dropped from 72 to 58! Does anyone else have problems finding suitable tires? Are there any other brands apart from SP10s (discontinued) or Streetresponce that are suitable?

Writing about the BFGoodrich Winter Slalom given 83% (215-65-16-)

Excellent tires, aggresive profile for wet and snow conditions, low running noise, excellet wear (no visible marks after 3 winter seasons with some 10,000 miles driving).

Writing about the Dunlop SP Sport Maxx given 63% (225-40-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 31000 spirited miles
Keep in mind I have low profile tires at high PSI, these guys are not too noisy and provide good comfort for this type of car. I could get a few more thousand miles out of these if it wasnt for some sidewall damage. 31000 driving fast with this car should shred my tires but theyre still here and just about legal!! Love these tires, maybe this is more down to the car and its setup as some people have reported problems. Nevertheless I am very impresed.

It is an incredible tire. Just write this because of the bad reviews that made the first review. It's a very quiet and comfortable tire at a time despite being deported. UNDERSTAND THE SPORT TIRES ARE NOT TO LAST 100,000 MILES
THANK YOU! : D
