Best Tires for the Vauxhall Antara

I have an Antara and found these tires were far better than that Vauxhall had fitted on the vehicle. Road handling / braking in the wet and dry excellent. Purchased just over 4 years ago, have done 31000 miles and just mot'd and still have 5mm tread. Not the quietest tire on market depending on road surface, but you expect a little noise with this of width of the tire.

Fine driving solo, not very good towing a caravan, no grip on wet grass

Running my Vauxhall antara on a full set of st68. Covered 8000 miles .still plenty of tread left. For a budget tire I have found them better than most. I am not a boy racer but I don't drive sedately either. I live in a town full of roundabouts and so front nearside outer edge of tire takes the brunt of the wear. Very pleased all. Will purchase same again. I have driven in all weathers, including snow. I didn't crash or get stuck so they can't be that bad. I do wonder how some people drive when you read some of the reviews.

Brought these tires after a lot of research to replace the Hankook tires fitted on my Vauxhall Antara which were no good in wet weather. I was looking for a tire that could cope with the varied British weather, wet, dry, ice and snow. The Michelin's are expensive tires but you pay for what you get. The Michelin's handle very well in the wet, much better than the previous tires. In the dry they are are also good but obviously not as good as a premium summer tire. There is some road noise but no more than the previous fitted tires. I have had mo issues with the tire losing grip on icy roads. Where I was most impressed is in the snow. In mid December last year there was a few inches of snow that fell and I had to take my wife to work which was a good test for the tires. My Antara has 4 wheel drive that only kicks in if the front wheels start to spin. Once the snow had got into tire treads the cars grip was exceptional. There were various cars even a 4x4 Audi estate that were stuck going up a steep section of road that is just under a mile in length. I sat at the bottom of the hill until cars coming down had cleared and then just drove up the hill overtaking the stranded cars trying to get up the hill. Not once did I feel the car wheels spin and I believe it was mainly down to the tires. We have more snow forecast this week and having these tires certainly gives you more reassurance in bad weather conditions. I have these tires for 16 months. I do about 10,000 miles a year and after 14 months there was still 8mm if tread depth.

I had four of these on my Vauxhall antara now need two on the front will be replacing with the same tires ,great grip wet or dry good ware rate and very smooth on the road

Got these on my Vauxhall Antara. 4 wheel drive. Only got 15,000 miles on original fit Dunlop Sports. I have done 25,000 on my Vredesteins , just had mot and have got 6MM of tread still. Should get an easy 40,000 miles. These are the best wearing tires i have ever had in 40 years of driving multiple vehicles. Will definately buy again. Thats if they ever wear out.

Good summer tire. As soon as temperature drops below around 10 degrees, grip becomes poor. Below 0 degrees, grip is none existant. Have now bought winter tires as Hankooks are dangerous in cold weather.

This is now my 4th type of Winter tire, on a variety of car. The previous ones, Wintrac 4 Extreme seemed the best available, however on my new Vauxhall Antara, there was none available in that size. I took a chance on these new Nokians, and I can safely say that they surpass even the Vredesteins. I have, in the last week, tried them in the wet, dry, very wet, all kinds of frost and snow. I have never felt such confidence as I have with these. They just seem to grip as though the road surface was dry and frost free. No noticeable noise, despite the tread pattern looking as though it would be noisy. Nokian put out an information sheet, describing these tires, and I have to say that it doesn't do them justice. Braking cornering accelerating, whatever I ask the car to do, it does, and the 4 pieces of rubber/silica just seemed glued to the road. I am utterly amazed at how good they are. Great work Nokian! The winter is young, but I am looking forward to everything it can throw at me.

I ran these tires on my BMW . They're are absolutely amazing. I live at the top of an extremely steep hill, so steep that lorries often get stuck driving up in the wet. In the snow it's a no go for all cars and all but the best 4x4's with these tires on I had no issues driving up the hill while covered in snow. They are german made and as such pass all their TUV testing. I'm now running these on my Antara. Instead of dreading snow you will be craving it so you can look smug !

I've driven around 8000 miles on these tires and the wear is rediculous. Performace reasonable, but I won't be buying these again due to the excessive wear.
