Mercedes Benz Mercedes SLK 55 AMG Tires

Very pleasantly surprised by these tires. Recommended to me by a friend who knows a lot more about this sort of thing than me. A great alternative to the expensive brands if you want to save some money without sacrificing grip and safety. They seem to be lasting well too. I’m over 10,000 miles on them and wear is minimal. Satisfied customer here!

Bought these as replacements on the rear and got them as they are the Mercedes MO for the car. Although for the most part they did a good job, I did have the back end completely come round at 20mph going round a corner into a car park over a cobbled sleeping policeman. Pretty scary. Have only had 4700 miles out of them and they are down to the limit. I honestly don't power it all the time so showed them to the garage I bought them from. Even he was surprised ! Will try continental sports contact 5 next.

Why are these rated so highly and why does mercedes insist on putting them on?

Had on a mercedes SLK55. The back end had zero grip in the damp - wear was horrendous.

OK, just put them on, only done 200 miles. Amazing compared to Michelin PS2's. Always bought the best, hence PS2's, but, these tires thud instead of slap over road cracks. Quieter, and so direct, now got over-steer, yum yum! Don't know about wear, too early, but damn sticky, hence the lower rating on wear. Buy again, absolutely! Plus, they look so good as well! Not in UK yet, got from Germany, get them before the prices go up!
