Mazda Mazda 6TS Estate Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Bridgestone Turanza ER300 given 93% (225-45-17-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 40000 average miles
Fitted to my leased MAZDA 6 estate as standard, Car now covered 72,028 miles. Replaced 1st set (all 4)at 32000 miles. Recent service indicated tire wear to on the limit of 1.6mm for 3 tires. A nonrepairable puncture necessitated a new tire about 6 months ago.

Second set have produced 40000 miles of trouble free motering. Unfortunately, tire service centre fitted 3 Pirelli P7 yesterday. I have no control over this .

A new Mazda 6 tourer due in March so hope it is fitted with Turanzas.

Driving on a combination of roads for 1500 average miles
Had to get a full set of tires for my Mazda 6 estate. Looked through various review sites looking for a good grip tire in wet conditions. Chose the Uniroyal Rain Expert. I can not criticise the tires performance in terms of grip. Grip in both wet and dry is brilliant. Very safe tire. I have driven 1500 miles on these since purchasing in November 2011.
I have been driving for over 35 years, in this time I have driven on many different tires, makes, tread pattens, etc.. so I can honestly say the noise is the WORST I have ever had from a tire. My daughters liken it to a pod racer in Star Wars, or the sound you get from the tires of jet landing on a runway.
I did offer Uni Royal via there web site comments link, to listen to the tire on my car and discuss why they do not put a warning about the sound these tires make, but it seems to have fallen of deaf ears.... ! perhaps that is why the do not realise there is a noise problem !
