I drive a large 5.4ltr sedan. I'm just about to replace my RE003 with another set. The current worn set replaced the previous RE002.
I've found them quite similar. I drive daily on a twisty mountain road and get roughly 20-25000 kms (12-15000 miles) from them in a large heavy car. The tire life is OK for me. In this day and age there are a lot of things to spend money on, I'm more than happy to buy decent tires every year because of the enjoyment they provide. Sometimes the road is wet and greasy and the feedback is very good. In the wet they start to growl and gently slide well before they actually let go so they give a lot of confidence.
I read a reasonable amount before I buy and find the RE003 very good value for money considering the performance they provide.
