Best Tires for the Audi TT 2.0 Quattro

I have had these tires on my Audi TT 2.0 TFSI Quattro for a year and a half now and coming from an avid PS4S user I must say I'm shocked at how good these are for the money! They were about £70 per corner cheaper than the PS4S' for the TT in 255/35/19 so initially I was sceptical but I am amazing at the handling, dry AND wet grip they provide and the longevity of the tires! I have covered a good mix of country roads, motorways and long trips across Europe in the year and a half I have had these on and they have never missed a beat! I'm so confident in the wet, even when driving very "spiritedly"! Granted they aren't as comfortable as a BluEarth GT AE51 for example but the car is lowered on coil overs so its not all the tires fault. 10/10 would defiantly purchase again and recommend to others.

I have these tires on a mk3 Audi TT Quattro. Most people slow down in the wet, I felt so confident I speeded up! In the dry they are excellent and almost silent. 69dB that’s 3dB less than Michelin. I have had these since February 2024 and have nad no bad issues with them. Although i have never heard of Nexen until I bought this car with them on already.

Changed from worn Hankook Icept Evo2 winter tires to new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym 6, so it is "apples to oranges". However, the difference is larger than I expected. Comfort (with a sporty suspension) is so much better that it almost feels like the difference to smaller rims. Road noise: significantly reduced and immediately noticeable. Handling feels very grippy. Comparison to P Zero summer tires from last year (~50% worn) is more difficult, but from my memory, the Pirellis were not as comfortable and didn't have such an enjoyable feeling to drive like the Goodyears.

I had Uniroyal Rainsport 3 tires prior to purchasing a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and the two don't even compare. I used to be able to throw my car around roundabouts and country roads in both wet and dry weather without a single worry but since I got the Michelin tires I have had to calm my driving style drastically! I barely dare to overtake now when the roads are dry let alone when they are wet because these tires just don't grip very well at all and has sent me fishtailing on a few occasions. My fuel consumption has gone down by around 100 miles per full tank with these tires too which is dreadful considering I've been forced to slow my driving down. I bought the Pilot Sport 4s because of the reviews and a few people recommending them to me (one of which was a fellow TT quattro owner) but I can only say that I've been nothing other than disappointed with these. I will never buy another set of Michelin tires after the experience I've had with these, thats for certain, and they aren't exactly cheap either! Complete waste of money!

Amazing grip in the dry and fantastic handling. Dropped 2 seconds round the track with these. Does wear out but not as fast as my Michellins. Road noise is minimal.

Avoid like the plague if you value your car and your life! Just picked up a courtesy car with Evergreens all round, on the 15 mile journey home I had 4 incidents of losing grip, this tire has no we performance. Hit the brakes approaching a roundabout at less than 30mph and took about 30 meters to come to a stop..... which happened to be in the middle of the roundabout in the path of a bus! lucky for me their tires werent shocking as they were able to stop pretty quicky. I dont understand people commenting here who are saying they are as good as michelins or pirreli's.... which ones? you clearly dont corner with any conviction. My Golf R is fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4s all round and its different car than when it had continentals! A few weeks ago a BMW M4 couldnt keep up with me through the corners of a windy A-road (got absolutely smashed when the road straightened up though) but the Audi TT Quattro I have at the moment (a car that isnt missing mechanical grip) understeered at 20 mph! These tires are a disgrace at any price. You get what you pay for here, £150 for a tire made in France from the company that supplies the World Endurance Championship (think Le Mans 24Hr) or £50 for a tire made from recycled plastic in China, a country that didnt have the technical prowess to manufacture ball bearings small enough to fit Biro pens until the turn of the century. Your tires are the only thing connecting you to the road, its almost unfathomable that someone would put their own safety at risk, if you have a family you probably need to reassess your life. Enjoy the shocking tires, ill see you in the ditch!
