Given 87% while driving a BMW 320d touring (205/50 R16 V) on a combination of roads for 6,000 spirited miles
Someone else on here had the same problem with the Rainsport 2'sin combination with RS3's. Same thing happened to me. I had to replace the rear RS2's with RS3's. I soon realised that the rear tires were trying to steer and this became quite dangerous at motorway speeds; actually causing me to stop to check for a rear puncture. Replaced the fronts with RS3's and it is now a fantastic drive.

Beware! On BMW's don't mix RS2's with RS3's. Replace them all.

The tires are really good on grip no matter what weather or road condition. Driven on 1.9tdi chipped 135hp golf mk5, they lasted me... 10000km! It's only the front tires, the rear one got some meat left. But front ones, dry to the bone. Won't buy them again, just for the wear. Who has the money to buy them every few months (depending on the driving) - go ahead.

Given 40% while driving a BMW E90 330i (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Put brand new 255/35/18 uniroyal Rainsport 3 on the rear of a BMW e90 330 i and the handling at speeds above 65 mph was basically dangerous and felt like the back was arguing with the front. When braking hard at speed the car would pull to one side badly. Running directional tires on the front which apparently don't work with the uniroyal rainsport 3. I put my 225/40/18 fronts on the back and the uniroyal rainsport 3 on the front and the problem went away. Problem is this is not a permanent fix. Beware of buying rainsport 3 tires if only bought as a pair and fitted with directional tires. Uniroyal should worn buyers but won't, so I am.

Given 86% while driving a Volkswagen Golf GTi Mk5 (225/40 R18 W) on mostly country roads for 6,000 spirited miles
Impressed with these tires, offered excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions on Aroads and over 3 track days. Even after some hard usage, including extreme track conditions after 6000 miles they still had over 6mm of tread. The only mild criticism I have is that the sidewalls are quite flexible even on the XL tire so to counter this I upped the pressure slightly. Otherwise outstanding performance for the price. So much so I also have them fitted to my Z3 2.8!

Given 93% while driving a Land Rover Range Rover Sport (255/55 R19 W) on mostly town for 5,000 average miles
I've fitted these Uniroyal Rainsport 3 SUV after lot of days comparing all the possible reviews on the web, I also wrote to Uniroyal to ask more information about that. Well what to say, I can't be happier with my choice, these tires are simply amazing for a 2 tons and more size car like Range Rover Sport. I previously had fitted the Goodyear Wrangler F1 m+s, so loud, hard compound, they squeal at very low speed in all condition. Crap tires that fortunately is not produce anymore, btw these Uniroyal have beaten all my expectations. In dry road they ride smooth, no squeal, tons of grip and fast response, and this was the condition that was worried me. In the wet they are perfect as dry, so no complain at all. It seems talking to uniroyal that the compound is the same black chili used for continental, with a more wet pattern oriented design. I had to post the review in the no Suv categories because tirereviews has not update the Uniroyal SUV field with the Rainsport 3. Wear seems pretty good after not too many miles, and the price is definely unbeatable. If you want a smooth rider with some of spirited drive (for the spirited drive you can have with a range rover I mean) these are the perfect shoes, so you can be safe in the wet and practically all the year round!

Great tires - replaced the factory Yoko Advans with these at the rear, so happy with them I paid out to replace the half-worn budget brand fronts too. Great in the dry, great in the wet, and getting about 2-3mpg average better. Much quieter than the old tires too.

I've used Uniroyal RainSport 2's for years across 2 vehicles & would have continued to use them if they were still made.

I live in Scotland, so a rain orientated tire made sense - and in the rain these blew away all previous tires i'd used (~25-30% cheaper summer tires), safe & confident wet driving was a revelation for me.

I then bought Rainsport 3's for the front of the car & they were quite frankly awful.
When i got the car back i had thought something had been damaged in the suspension, as the car steering was very soft & wobbly & delayed.
This was eventually found to be the new Rainsport 3 tires, they were moved to the rear & the rear became soft & delayed, like driving on jelly (less so when i tried VERY high pressures, around the max rates pressure, but still soft & delayed).

I complained to Uniroyal & asked for confirmation of what had changed to ruin the Rainsport tires.

I now probably wouldn't touch another Uniroyal tire out of fear of being burnt again.

EDIT: Uniroyal have suggested the mix of x2 Dunlop Winter tires & x2 Uniroyal Summer tires could cause the issue (mismatched different tire structures).
But the previous Rainsport 2's ran with the same Dunlop tires & felt fine, also the soft delayed feeling specifically followed the Rainsport 3's.
I may never find the answer to this as i'm not willing to risk spending on x4 more Rainsport 3's to prove/disprove if the problem still exists.

Regards, Mark.

Given 80% while driving a Opel Corsa C (195/50 R15 W) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Amazing tire with really good combination of wet/dry grip. The only thing is that after some miles the wear is obvious and the tire behaves not so great. Totally worth the money though!

Given 83% while driving a Saab Automobile re mapped Saab 93 turbo (235/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 6,000 average miles
After searching at some length for a new set of tires I found these. Not many tire dealers carry them so I ordered them online, had them delivered to my local garage who then fitted them. Grip in the dry is excellent and in the wet is simply incredible, infact they perform better in the wet than some tires do in the dry and I mean that with all seriousness. There are cheaper tires out there and ones that will last a little longer, but pound for pound these are the best tires I have owned.

Given 21% while driving a SEAT Ibiza TSi (185/60 R15 H) on mostly motorways for 1,000 average miles
After being pretty impressed with the original Rainsport tire, had these fitted to the front as a replacement for the worn original version.

Well two weeks on, three return trips to the garage for a re balance, I have to say that these are possibly the worst tires I have ever had the mis fortune to own. Aquaplane protection is good but that's where the positives end. The tred pattern is simply so deep, wide and asymmetrical that you feel like you are running on spiked tires at speeds over 50mph with terrible feedback through the steering. The seem practically unbalanced every time you drive and the garage just cannot get them to balance no matter what they try !

Waiting to get paid now so I can get these things off the car, an expensive mistake and one I certainly regret.
