Given 86% while driving a Volkswagen passat 2.0tdi sport dsg 140 saloon (235/45 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 18,000 average miles
was getting 18000-19000 miles on the front for ayear, more for the back as expected, As xl were abit harder but the sort suspension was not helping either but lived with it, It was about what doing for me on the road. Winter mornings at 05:00 for 27 miles to work on mororway and dual carriageways were no problem. With the surface water on the dualcarraige flooded in places were no problem. But then when going continental (no pun!) in france at 85mph for hours on end like 570 miles in 7+ hours no issues. Driving around mountain roads, hairpin beds and sometimes too much zeal they kept there grip astonishly, even with abit of squeal or as I call it 'whispering kisses'. So i used them for 4 years replacing when need. would buy again. Have changed from passat 2.0tdi 140 sport to a vw cc 180brake so may consider them again when required.

Given 77% while driving a Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer (235/45 R18 W) on mostly motorways for 12,000 average miles
Good: Great in all weathers especially when cornering.

Bad: High wear rate and prone to uneven wear

I really love those tires. Great grip in wet and dry. But they only lasted 14000km. My driving style is not really slow, more like agressive. So lets say they last one summer agressive driving.

Given 73% while driving a Renault RenaultSport Megane 175 dCi (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 6,000 spirited miles
OK, So I drive enthusiastically, so grip is the priority in wet and dry. I like to feel the car and feel what is going on. Aside from the appalling wear, it was by far the best tire I had ever had. If only Continental can make the same tire last even twice the same distance... I'd have bought them by the lorry load.

Feedback is active, you know what's happening, the grip level in the dry was phenomenal. Very surprising in the wet. But again, 6k on the front and 8k on the rear is shocking. Have since fitted Dunlop Sport Maxx RT which were nearly as good as the conti's and on the front lasted 11k. My opinion, well, to some its like chalk and cheese. Try the dunlops if you expect better longevity in this size if your car has the same handling characteristics as my car.

Given 42% while driving a Mercedes Benz C250 CDI Blutec (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 6,000 easy going miles
These tires came from the factory, from day one they weren't as good as any other tire fitted previously to any of my merc's. The only thing that was one consolation was that they weren't Run-flats other wise I can imagine are just as worse. After just 6000 of easy going driving the rears were gone completely, not only on mine but other people who have the new C Class weren't faring any better with these, shortest distance being just 5k. Also the fronts had really bad wear inner and outer on all the ones we looked over. Wouldn't use these tires again instead the other tire these left factory with is the Pirelli option which faired a lot nicer overall.

Given 90% while driving a MINI mini cooper (205/45 R17 W) on mostly town for 15,000 spirited miles
I am on my second set at the front and could not be happier. Grip in both dry and wet is great. Comfort and noise levels are very good too. Wear is perhaps the biggest concern for some but I am more than happy with this trade off as tire's compound seems to harden over time affecting performance in all categories.

Given 51% while driving a Volkswagen Passat (235/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
These tires come stock with my car.

I was very eager to try out these tires on my new car after reading so many good reviews. As these are high performance tires, my review will be bias toward driving performances.
The first thing i noticed is the noise level (hell lot more noisier than the Yokohama Advan V103). p.s. I'm running these tires on a VW passat but they are noisier that V103 running on a Toyota Mark X from the cabin.

Grip on the dry and wet was average. The sidewall stiffness is pretty much softer than the V103.

I gave up these tires eventually with thread life of >70% due to its noise level.

Given 66% while driving a Volkswagen CC (235/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 7,000 spirited miles
These tires were factory fit on my VW CC. Mine are the self sealing variety. After 2 years and 33000 miles I am on my forth set. So wear rate is not great. Road handling for cornering and braking is good , however they will easily break traction in second gear upon hard acceleration , 3rd gear in the wet. So a good tire but are they really worth the premium price...no. I also have a Mondeo estate that has 280 bhp. On the original Michelin Super Sport it too would spin the wheels however after reviews here I fitted Uniroyal Rainsport 3 , far more control and fantastic wet grip , a Continental subsidery maybe!

Given 81% while driving a Renault Megane Estate 1.6DCi (205/50 R17 V) on a combination of roads for 25,000 average miles
Very satisfied with the tires which were OEM from new. Excellent grip in dry and wet, somewhat firm ride at low speed on bumpy roads, but within normal limits. Relatively quiet. I constantly read reviews about poor wear characteristics, but this hasn't been my experience. 40,000k and they're still going strong, with maybe 4-5mm left on the tread. I drive fast but smoothly, avoiding boy-racer acceleration (it's just not cool, people!) and not screeching around corners - motorway and country roads. The tires look great too. The rim protection profile somehow makes them look classier than most.

Would I buy them again? Probably not - they're ruinously expensive at this size for some reason. A full set of Hankooks can save me over 100€.
