I am on my second set at the front and could not be happier. Grip in both dry and wet is great. Comfort and noise levels are very good too. Wear is perhaps the biggest concern for some but I am more than happy with this trade off as tire's compound seems to harden over time affecting performance in all categories.
I was very eager to try out these tires on my new car after reading so many good reviews. As these are high performance tires, my review will be bias toward driving performances.
The first thing i noticed is the noise level (hell lot more noisier than the Yokohama Advan V103). p.s. I'm running these tires on a VW passat but they are noisier that V103 running on a Toyota Mark X from the cabin.
Grip on the dry and wet was average. The sidewall stiffness is pretty much softer than the V103.
I gave up these tires eventually with thread life of >70% due to its noise level.

These tires were factory fit on my VW CC. Mine are the self sealing variety. After 2 years and 33000 miles I am on my forth set. So wear rate is not great. Road handling for cornering and braking is good , however they will easily break traction in second gear upon hard acceleration , 3rd gear in the wet. So a good tire but are they really worth the premium price...no. I also have a Mondeo estate that has 280 bhp. On the original Michelin Super Sport it too would spin the wheels however after reviews here I fitted Uniroyal Rainsport 3 , far more control and fantastic wet grip , a Continental subsidery maybe!

Very satisfied with the tires which were OEM from new. Excellent grip in dry and wet, somewhat firm ride at low speed on bumpy roads, but within normal limits. Relatively quiet. I constantly read reviews about poor wear characteristics, but this hasn't been my experience. 40,000k and they're still going strong, with maybe 4-5mm left on the tread. I drive fast but smoothly, avoiding boy-racer acceleration (it's just not cool, people!) and not screeching around corners - motorway and country roads. The tires look great too. The rim protection profile somehow makes them look classier than most.
Would I buy them again? Probably not - they're ruinously expensive at this size for some reason. A full set of Hankooks can save me over 100€.
Die selbstversiegelnde Version war ab Fabrik an meinem 202 PS CC. Sie hielten länger als dieselben Reifen vorne an meinem Ford S Max zuvor, waren aber schon nach 16.000 Kilometern runter. Sie wurden durch P Zeros ersetzt, die ein besseres Fahrverhalten ergaben und immerhin fast 18.000 Kilometer hielten. Die Originale hinten haben nach über 33.000 Kilometern immer noch 5mm Profil.
Ich habe vorne gerade die SC5 montiert, und sie scheinen ein besseres Fahrverhalten zu haben als die Originale. Sind auch leiser als die Pirellis.
Ich wünschte, Reifentests würden die Langzeit-Reports von den Usern hier berücksichtigen. Der Test eines nagelneuen Reifens über einen kurzen Zeitraum ist kein Maßstab für die Performance in der Realität.
Diese Reifen waren serienmäßig am Auto meiner Frau. Als sie zum TÜV 2 neue Vorderreifen brauchte, blieb ich auch bei der Hinterachse beim gleichen Modell. Stellt euch meine Überraschung vor, als nach weniger als 8.000 Kilometern die vorderen schon wieder heruntergefahren waren! Und jetzt waren die hinteren Reifen ebenfalls dran. Meine Frau fährt auch nicht wie ein junger Raser, also wurden die Reifen immer pfleglich behandelt. An der Performance habe ich nichts auszusetzen, aber das sind ziemlich teure High-End-Reifen, und so einen schnellen Verschleiß lässt mein Bankkonto leider nicht zu. Ich würde sie (nur wegen der Abnutzung) nicht wieder kaufen, sorry.
Gut haftender Reifen. Hielt aber nur 13.000 Kilometer als Vorderreifen bei einem Auto mit Heckantrieb. Würde ihn nicht wieder kaufen – aber nur wegen der kurzen Lebensdauer.
The car is a Mercedes W212 E220 CDi estate. On local 20 mph streets the ride is very harsh whereas from 30 mph upwards it is quite normal, could be the car's suspension set-up though. My main beef is the very short life, only 20000 miles compared with 30000 on previous W211 E-class and 45000 on even earlier W210 model. Are tires getting worse or is it just Continentals?
No problems with grip with these Tires which replaced Michelin Primacy HP, but the wear rate is appalling , I've done just over 8000 miles with them on the front and they are close to the wear limits, tracking is fine and they have worn evenly, my previous Michelins did almost 20k, will not buy these again ( I see they've been replaced by the 5) and will be back to Michelin , probably Pilot sport 4. Have used M Tires for over 30 years and they've always been excellent
