StrengthsBest in test on snow for braking, traction and handling, with the highest subjective snow score, plus strong wet handling, good aquaplaning resistance and low cabin noise. StrengthsBest in test for wet braking and wet handling, the quietest in the cabin, and second on the snow handling lap, with low rolling resistance. StrengthsConsistently strong grip, never far from the front in any braking or handling test, with the best dry result of the group, strong wet handling and aquaplaning resistance, and the sharpest turn-in in the wet. ConsiderationsRolling resistance is the highest of the premium tires, and it is just behind the leaders in all three snow tests. StrengthsBest subjective dry handling in the test, low rolling resistance, and very good snow braking and traction. ConsiderationsUndersteer in long wet corners costs lap time, outright dry and wet grip is short of the best, and the ride is the firmest in the test. StrengthsLowest rolling resistance in the test, very good snow braking and traction, sharp steering response, and a friendly, stable tire that is easy to drive. ConsiderationsDry and wet braking and wet handling trail the best, and it lacks the ultimate grip of the winners on the snow handling lap. Score contributionCategory score × of overall score Dry95.55 × 10% = 9.56 Wet97.77 × 40% = 39.11 Snow98.64 × 37.5% = 36.99 Comfort96.82 × 10% = 9.68 Rolling Resistance100 × 2.5% = 2.5

StrengthsShortest dry stop of the test, essentially level with the best in wet braking, good rolling resistance, and very good grip on snow when working in its comfort zone. ConsiderationsNot at the front in snow braking and traction as might be expected from Nokian, a little peaky past the limit on snow, and less precise to steer in the dry. Score contributionCategory score × of overall score Dry96.96 × 10% = 9.7 Wet98.58 × 40% = 39.43 Snow97.62 × 37.5% = 36.61 Comfort96.55 × 10% = 9.66 Rolling Resistance94.87 × 2.5% = 2.37

StrengthsBest resistance to straight aquaplaning in the test, and easy to drive on snow. ConsiderationsDry and wet braking are short of the leaders, the front end is slow to bite and tucks in poorly on a lift of the throttle in the wet, and it is the loudest tire in the cabin. Score contributionCategory score × of overall score Dry94.16 × 10% = 9.42 Wet97.7 × 40% = 39.08 Snow97.65 × 37.5% = 36.62 Comfort94.76 × 10% = 9.48 Rolling Resistance92.5 × 2.5% = 2.31

StrengthsBest ride comfort in the test, with impacts absorbed beautifully, and predictable, easy handling. ConsiderationsShort of the leaders in dry and wet braking and grip, and one of the loudest tires in the cabin. Score contributionCategory score × of overall score Dry93.11 × 10% = 9.31 Wet96.39 × 40% = 38.56 Snow97.14 × 37.5% = 36.43 Comfort97.58 × 10% = 9.76 Rolling Resistance91.36 × 2.5% = 2.28

StrengthsSecond-best ride comfort in the test, with snow braking and traction much closer to the field than its wet results, and no surprises on snow. ConsiderationsLast in every snow test, long wet braking and a slow wet lap with a rear that becomes unstable in the slalom, weak dry braking, and the highest rolling resistance. Reference tires provide context only. They do not set the benchmark and cannot win the personalised ranking.
Weighting vs real impact
What decides this ranking
The weighting is how much each category counts. The real impact is how much of the difference between the tires it creates: a discipline in which every tire performed about the same barely changes the order, however much it counts.
- Dry Weighting 10% Real impact 21%
- Wet Weighting 40% Real impact 36%
- Snow Weighting 37.5% Real impact 33%
- Comfort Weighting 10% Real impact 5%
- Rolling Resistance Weighting 2.5% Real impact 6%
- Dry Braking counts for 8% of the score but creates 14% of the difference between the tires, because their results in it were far apart.
- Wet Handling counts for 16% of the score but creates only 8% of the difference, because most tires performed about the same in it.

How it is worked out: each discipline’s weighting is multiplied by the spread of its results (the gap across the middle half of the tires, as a percentage of the best result), then shared out so that all the disciplines add up to 100%. It estimates what separates the tires; it is not a second set of weights, and it follows the weights you set.
How your ranking is calculated
Each discipline is scored against the best non-reference tire in the full test field: best ÷ result × 100 when lower is better, or result ÷ best × 100 when higher is better. Discipline scores are rounded to two decimal places, then combined using your weights.
Within-category weights divide that category’s share of the overall score. A 50% wet category and 40% wet-braking share give wet braking 20% of the total. A weight is a scoring priority, not a measure of its actual effect on the ranking: the performance gaps matter too. What decides this ranking ↑
Published joint positions are preserved separately. Calculated positions tie only when their underlying scores match; two displayed scores can look equal after rounding.
A zero weight excludes that category or discipline. At least one active discipline is required, and the disciplines in every active category must have a positive total.
