Looked for a good, road bias all season for my old 2007 Defender and went against the grain and chose these. 3 winters down and I can say they are the best performance to price tire I have ever fitted. Seems like they were designed for this vehicle and they perform really well off-road too.

Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

What Land Rover Defender drivers say
The most recent owner reviews from this car, in their own words.
These replaced my previous LT2s which still look quite good for the age. Previous tires took me across Norwegian mountains in the worst winter weather, the new LT3s are even better. This truck has a plow as well and I use it to clear my road (I live on the top of a hill) for the other cars, so it just has to work. We have a lot of ice around here, so running these with studs is almost a requirement.
Not driven in snow or ice so cannot comment. I am on my second set both have done more than 20k miles. for a mud terrain they have good road manners and howl before sliding in dry but are prone to suddenly sliding on wet tarmac (like all MT tires). I do 50% road 30% gravel 10% rock and 10% mud. Generally these are very good MT tires but have stopped representing value at the available price point available in the UK. I have been offered some BFG MT for less per tire. I replaced with Maxxis Bighorn 764`s which are louder, The performance between the Maxxis and Cooper are similar overall. (but only done a few hundred miles to compare so far.) Note both sets cracked (to the point of UK MOT failure) in the sidewalls before wearing out. Both sets at around 5 years old.
Multiple punctures, but not tire fault. Generally ok, but wet weather performance has been quite bad, hence looking for something more rounded and proper 3PMSF rating, rather than M&S. Wouldn't buy again despite being the factory fitment on my L663 Defender 75 anniversary edition.
Comfort is better than the Michelin Primacys that came on the car. Noise is very low. I'm in a Defender, and the wind noise surpasses tire noise.
Had snow last night, and they performed well. Little to no slippage and very little ABS engagement.
Tires have 200 miles on them will update later on.
On each occasion the gravel has gone through the rubber, canvas and even the metal gauze.
Unfortunately after 30 using Pirelli I think I will be changing manufacturer.
All of my cars on this period have been new Land Rovers/Range Rovers with tires fitted as original equipment
Great grip in snow (with new tread depth)
Better than previous Coopers of same spec.
All in all that's a 12,000 varied workout, and I've nothing but praise for these Discoverer AT3 LT tires. A compliant, quiet ride with decent a steering feel. I've been buying and using all terrain tires for some 20 years now and these are my favorites. .
