Honda VFR 800 Tires

Purchased to replace an old set of Dunlop Roadsmart tires on a VFR800 V Tec. Used mainly for a daily commute and a mix of roads including motorway. I went for the O rated tire on the rear for extra life as the bike is quite heavy. In short, I can't fault them. I've used them in all weathers including zero degree temperatures. They are quick to warm up and give all the grip, comfort and feedback you will ever need. I will definitely be buying the same again.

Have these tires on a "sport touring" VFR800 6gen. Not used for commuting everyday, but rather for all gas no brakes activities when i take it, or used to travel with a pillion and all the luggage for a long distances.
At this point tires have 17k kms on them.
Front tire: Started cupping a little bit @10k from both sides from the center. Center ridge is fine, but you can feel unevenness near it with a finger, or sometimes when tire pressure is high(hot summer day) while cornering.
Rear tire: Held really well considering how many straight up, high speed kms are on it. About third is with a pillion and luggage on. @17k kms rear tire is absolutely squared off and is about 1mm from wear limits.

Had no issues with traction whether its dry or wet. From all these kms i've done with them, just a couple rear slips when rear was obviously too cold and i was expecting it to slip, nothing more. Would buy again.

I really liked these tires and bought several pairs before having to ditch them altogether They’re very sticky, confidence inspiring in wet weather, great profile leading to sharp response when cornering The major issue I’ve encountered is they puncture very easily, I believe this is due to the wide sipes leaving a lot of thin soft carcass exposed and vulnerable As much as I love them I had to ditch them after averaging a puncture every 1000 miles Lots of my riding pals have had the same issue, a great shame

Replacing a set of T31s on my VFR800F the T32 has proved even better especially providing real confidence during biblical rain last weekend when conditions were so bad they pretty much cancelled the Formula One Grand Prix race being held just down the road in Spa. A spirited blast on the unrestricted German autobahn confirmed they were superbly stable at serious speed despite the bike carrying full luggage. If you want a race focused tire look elsewhere but if touring is more your bag the T32s look like they will at least match the 12,000miles I got from my T31s.

On a VFR800 for 7500 miles: rear still had 2.5mm usable tread (est 5k miles), front was down to wear bars on LHS. Excellent tire, never skipped a beat wet or dry, steering felt fine at all times. I will defintely buy again (having tried PR1 3 times and PR3 once, avoided PR4). It always used to be that rears wore quicker than front, but not now? Dual rubber construction very visible on rear tire when worn (need a photo), makes it look like something is wrong. Better than all the other tires I have tried on this bike: BT-020, Avon Storm, Conti-Motion (yuk), except perhaps the PR3.

Used the BT 016 tires for year on different bikes. I think they are great. Toured France on a set and rain and shine never once felt uncomfortable with them. Would I buy again? - just did.

Put a pair on my VFR800 and was disappointed from the off. I'm a massive Michelin fan and rarely suffer anything else but these were not for me. The long parallel treads down the centre make it feel like the front tire is flat. Even counter steering is now a chore. As I start to lean I can feel the step in compound change- it's like driving off a kerb! Wear isn't as good as other Michelin 2ct but much better than Bridestones and others I've run before. Wet grip is very good but they do need warming up.
To be fair these tires weren't aimed at a fat bloke on an old sport tourer but I've got used to expecting the very best from Michelin. Back to Pilot Road 2s....

Great sports tire with fantastic grip BUT.... I fitted a rear to my VFR800 and it wasn't right for me. I usually ride Pilot Road 2 or 3 and this is a big step away from them. I've never had to warm pilot roads but this was twitchy in the dry and spin up in the wet when cold! Wear is good for levels of dry grip but nowhere near pilot road 2/3

If dry grip on a sports bike is required these fit the bill perfectly. Certainly not an all round fast commute tire for cold British mornings.

New pair came fitted to my VFR800 and I was disappointed almost all round. Dry grip was good but I'm not the knee down sort of guy! I do lots of upright motorway/A road stuff and rear tire squared in a instant. I ride 365 days a year and pride myself on wet riding skills (you get a lot it practice in England) but these let me down big time. I have lots of wheel spin when on the power and they are quite vague and uninspiring.
