Mercedes Benz E550, 4matic, airmatic Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate given 93% (245-45-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
The Exhilarates were very comfortable on all road surfaces. Dry handling felt safe at any speed but generally I'm not an agressive driver. (I came off a set of Goodyear Asmyrical 2 or 3? I don't remember which ones but they were summer tires that were quite noisy.) The Exhilarates were specially good in the rain which can get you in trouble when you hit deep water because your confidence levels are quite high in the wet. As for wear I didn't drive on them but 5,000 miles (and sold the car) and I really don't care about longevity.

Writing about the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 given 61% (245-40-18-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 12000 spirited miles
The noise and harshness distracts my driving experience. I took them off after 12,000 miles

Writing about the Bridgestone Adrenalin RE003 given 94% (245-40-18-)
Driving on mostly motorways for 0 spirited miles
I love these tires. I have bought RE001's, RE002's and now RE003's on our vehicles and I have never had a problem with any of them. As Bridgestone have stopped making the size for the rear of the Merc we now have S007A which are nowhere near as good. I really struggle to get the power down, even a bit of a push to get into traffic in the dry will make it light up the rear wheels and have the traction control kicking in.Bring back the RE003's!

Driving on a combination of roads for 10 spirited miles
dry and wet are "safe for the type of car it is" - I've never broken it lose but some high-speed stops are scary - tires have 10k miles and are getting very noisy - comfort is not what I expect for a luxury car and tire - I'm in the process of selecting a replacement set of tires because of the ride quality and noise -BTW I'm in North America
