I chose XL-rated tires because I tend to drive a bit faster, and they provide better stability with less sidewall flex. I use them only during the winter, and they've been excellent. They are no noisier than winter tires, and in my experience they perform better in about 90% of winter conditions. The only exception is deep snow, where proper winter tires still have an advantage, although these tires handle it quite well too.

Greate dry grip but the noice and ware where subpar, the cabin noice was measured at 71db witch is very loud in an electric car in my opinion.
Loved the grip but would probably not buy again.
Normally been a Continental conti contact buyer, they excel in the areas i find most important, wet.
Wet grip, wet braking and aquaplane resistance are at the very top of my list, but i've been pleasantly surprised and impressed by these tires. Admittedly the extra weight in the EV ranges helps in these areas, but this is my third EV and these are the second best. The Hankook Ion Evo EV have been the best , but the michelins are very close. If the Hankooks are 9.5/10, the Michelins are a 9. The 3rd car came with Yokohama Blu-earthXT which were lametable in every single area except road noise (big issue in electric cars). Had them replaced with continentals within 2000mls...!
OEM choice/ replaced with exactly the same tires due to wear
There are mixed thoughts it seems with the Michelin Pilot Sport EV tire.
These tires were the OEM choice on my Cupra Born V3 58kw, and I am still on the original fronts at 30k miles albeit they now need changing due to the side tread disappearing.
I'm not a hooligan with a heavy right foot nor a "Miss Daisy" type of driver, but generally drive with a mixed variety of spirited and casual driving style.
I haven't experienced any moments of loss of grip or felt they aren't up to the job in either wet or dry conditions, but then I guess you adapt to the road conditions as and when some caution is needed, so never pushed them in unfavorable conditions to find out how far they can perform.
The road noise is not as quiet as I would expect considering they have an acoustic membrane inside when comparing with other standard tires, but then I haven't tried a non EV rated tire on the car to truly compare the difference.
The original rears lasted around 17k miles before changing, and were still inside the legal limit too, so probably could have got 20k out of them.
The range isn't great with these tires, but then they have a larger footprint compared with the other Cupra OEM offerings with 18" and 19" wheels that have a much better range.
So, my experience with the Pilot Sport EV are fairly positive and would consider buying again.
