Performance Analysis
Drawn from 5 tests. Updated October 29, 2026.
The Semperit Master Grip 2 repeatedly received praise for snow performance and low noise, but dry-road weaknesses held back its overall winter-test results. ADAC placed it last of 16 in 2017 and 11th of 12 in 2018, criticising dry performance in both. Auto Bild 2018 measured dry braking 19th of 22, 19.2% behind the best, and dry handling last of 22. That full comparison placed it 12th of 20 overall after eighth of 52 in the qualifying shootout, two stages of the same programme.
Snow braking was third of 22 at Auto Bild, just 1.5% behind the best, with snow handling sixth. Wet braking was eighth and wet handling fifth, supporting its positive snow and wet verdict. Noise was third of 22 externally, while ADAC 2017 had found the quietest cabin noise. There is an unusual difference in wear: ADAC 2017 criticised high wear, but Auto Bild 2018 projected 45,900 km, eighth of 21, so durability was not a consistent weakness. ADAC also noted weak ice performance in 2017 and slightly higher fuel consumption in 2018. The record is therefore more convincing for snow and quietness than for dry-road grip, with wear varying between comparisons.
