I started off with MICHELIN PILOT PRIMACY which I found very good. Excellent infact. However the cost of news one put me off, so I was advised on DUNLOP SPORT MAXX...Worst tires ever. I would not reccomended these at all for a BMW 320 tourer. These are hard walled tires, the ride, the handling, the noise were really bad. You could feel avery bump in the road. I couldn't take it for long so I'm on PERELLI P6000. The difference is amazing. It's like driving a different car. I would recommend these tires.

Pros:
They go on and on and on .....
Cons:
Everything else - they are shockingly bad! In the dry, they will squeal and slide if you go round a corner a little quicker than anticipated. The side wally seem to be very thin as you can always feel them flexing away. on wet roads, just drive slowly as at times, it is like you are driving on ice. They are also very noisy tires and they tires walls are visibly degrading after almost 3 years on the car. The last time I looked, these tires are not that cheap either.

I won't buy Pirelli ever again!
The worst tires I've ever used. As other people have said, loads of road noise, slid without warning when going 30 - 35 MPH. Especially, uneasy when used in the wet.

My jaguar was fitted with 6000(j)s so I stuck with them a second time I had experienced slip in the wet on the first set and experienced it again with the new set. road noise is quite noticable and the ride a bit hard but I have had good wear from both sets. I am trying avon zv5 this time

Dry driving is ok however in the wet i get no secure feeling and they tend to drift when pushed, road noise i find poor these give quite a rumble, the biggest dissapointment is the life of the tire i am not heavy right footed and drive for fuel saving ( around town i never get less than 37mpg ) but because Volvo recommend P6000s ive stuck with them, im having Vredestein Ultrac fitted today as this will be the fourth set of tires in 50k and P6000s are expensive and not impressive, i have high hopes for the Vredestein as ive used these before and found them superb. I will let you know the outcome

Have this tire on my focus and on my previous Corolla gti-16 and have found it to be a completely average tire, not really good enough to justify its higher price.
I drive on slippery country roads generally at fairly high speeds due to doing shift work (empty roads). These tires have decent dry grip and good feedback, they also crear standing water relatively well. They're not good on greasy surfaces though, and don't feel like they dig in well at all.
There's a vibration at seventy to eighty miles an hour which is not a problem of bancing or tire pressures, I've checked them regularly, and occurred on the Focus and the Corolla. I didn't expect this of this kind of tire.
As for wear, I managed about 10000 miles on a set of fronts on the Corolla which isn't good but is a lot to do with the roads here in Ireland, nowhere near the longevity of the avon zv3's I ran on a Mondeo previously though (about 22000 miles on Welsh roads). I've done about 5000 on the fronts that are on the focus which were previously worn, but I expected more from the tread depth.
Anyway overall I wouldn't recommend these but wouldn't warn you off either, I'll be trying a set of Vredestein Sportracs next.

Fitted to the car when I got it. Disappointing though.
Good economy and fair wear (which is probably why they fitted them). Back wear nearly gone at 29K, fronts (FWD, heavy engine) at 12/13K.
However, little or no feedback, poor grip (especially in the wet), fairly noisy (although not as bad as the Eagle F1's were a few years back) and a bit of a rough ride.

I bought these to compliment the rear 195 65 15 flavour p6000s the car came with. Unfortunately, a worn out lower arm meant that the inside edge of the offside front ate itself after 3000 miles, so the worn rears went on the front and the good pirelli found its way onto the back with some 'Komet' ditch seeker on the other side.
I cannot therefore give an accurate picture of the whle life of a p6000, but I estimate that they will cover 12000-15000 on the front if driven sensibly.
When the fronts were new, the car resisted understeer up to a point then broke into understeer gently. The back snapped into unwanted sudden oversteer in the wet(think scandinavian flick) because the tires were old and hard.
These are not performance tires, they are good at covering high mileage quietly at a legal pace, they are a safe, all rounders choice.
I will soon be binning all of these tires in favour of some 205 60 15s, but due to my driving style, they won't be p6000s

SEAT Leon Cupra

To sum up the P6000 I would say that I'd rather have 4 Arrowspeeds on my Leon Cupra.
I've had the car a month or so and it came with a P6000 on each corner and since owning it I've experienced a very scary sudden loss of grip which sent me hurtling from hedge to hedge on a country road, in the wet. Luckily, the hedges were relatively soft and the car was fine.
The grip is average in dry, but I find sudden understeer can hit that has no warning, as a lot of people report. Magnify this problem in the wet and that's what they're like.
Progressiveness is atrocious, there is just no feedback that they are nearing their limit.
Wear is plainly abysmal too - I've done about 3000 miles and shaved about 4mm off the pair on the front wheels of my car.
Comfort is OK though, motorway driving is calm and quiet.
Conclusion - avoid!
