I originally bought these tires many years ago as replacement tires on a Fiat Bravo 1.8HLX. Thought at the time pirelli were a good bet mmm. The tires are too hard to provide a comfortable and quiet ride. The level of dry and wet grip that they give is disappointing for the cost of the tire. On several occasions both in dry and wet conditions the tires have just slid with no warning. I am also amazed how much squeal these tires produce at such low speeds when cornering in places such as multistory carparks. I have had much cheaper tires give better ride, grip and longevity. I have been able to test drive these tires on several car over the years lastly on a Octavia 4x4 Estate. The road noise from the tires is very noticable even over the haldex 4wd. I know it's the tires as I've driven several Octavia all with different tires. I am surprised that Pirelli still sell this tire which doesn't seem to have been revised in a very long time. They are well past their useful life as a tire in their current formulation. Need to be softer compound. Far too hard a compound for UK climate.

The tires where ok they did last forever but i felt they where not telling you what was happening. you turn into the corner and not know you are turning until you are through the corner. In the wet the grip is horrible. The only thing good about them is that they lasted for 40000km's

Had four on an Audi A3 sport, within 2 weeks I had two tires that had bulged and not touched a single curb, decided to scrap them and go for Goodyear Eagle F1 which I was really impressed with. However I sold the audi and unfortunately ended up with 2 on the rear of this Clio I have now, never have I had a front wheel drive car, let alone a Clio which are reputedly good handling have it's rear end slide out with such ferociousness. Even after correcting the oversteer the tires bit an spun me back round the opposite direction spinning me 270 degrees off of a roundabout exit.
Never ever going anywhere near this absolute awful tires ever again! They should be illegal.

Dreadful tires - they caused the Jaguar to follow road imperfections and seams, and to snake about even on rough sections of road. No wonder they do this, as they have a massive wide central groove I suppose! Grip was not great either. Replaced with Uniroyal Rainsport 2's which are better in every way...

Personally I have to say that this is the worst tire I have ever had on a car. Not only does in not grip in wet or dry conditions but they're also quite expensive compared to other tires. Very unsatisfied. WILL NEVER BUY AGAIN!!!

Dry grip is good with a nice progressive feel, you know when the tires are approaching there limit.
Wet grip is no so good and the tires do loose traction on sharper bends or with more aggresive driving. They are still fairly progressive however, and you know when they are struggling.
They are a comfy tire to drive on the mixture of roads that we have in the UK and they provide a good lifespan.
One criticism is the aquaplaning resistance could be improve.
That said, these are a much better tire than the Pirelli P7 I replaced them with. I'd have bought these P6000's again with that joy called hindsight.

Noisier than previous tires and 11,000 miles for average driving mostly a lightly loaded car seems poor. Generally not impressed.

How the P6000 can be considered a high performance tire is beyond me. These things appear to be made of Bacolite rather than rubber - I sewar you can see a crystalline twinking in the tread in sunlight.
They are hopeless in the dry and hopeless in the wet and a fantastic way to take a performance car and make it broadly comparable with a Korean shopping trolley in ability. They must be outright dangerous on mid or rear engined vehicles.
On the upside they last for ever, but unless you only care about owning a performance vehicle rather than driving one then steer well clear.

These are the OE tires for the vehicle & they're very impressive to say the least. They hold a car of this is on the road very well. As they wear they lose a bit of grip in the wet but that is to be expected.
Only issue I have now is they're no longer made & I have to find something similar to replace them as I don't like the look of the new P6.

I have just started driving (only around 1 year) and have found that this tire will last time after time. However, it does seem to be quite rigid, therefore, it is quite hard to know whether or not you are skidding, I have found with these on a Ford Focus, it is best to be mindful of the slide juddering that the entire car makes, as opposed to sensing it via the stearing column. I have just been driving in the snow and ice [22/12/09] and have found that it does perform well on the stuff when moving, but... if you stop the car in the stuff only for a moment, you might find your car is struggling to make and exit with the P6000.

10,000 miles on a rear set. Very easy driving around Ireland, mostly on Primary Routes and Motorways. Checked tires 3 weeks ago and all seemed fine. About 500 miles covered since then and noticed this afternoon how bald they appeared. Replaced in local garage straight away. Would never buy Pirelli again.

good steering feel, reduced tramling compared to michelin pilots, long lasting.good resistance to aquaplaining.poor traction on wet/greasy town roads, tires noisy on most surfaces, sidewalls still in good condition,15000 on front then 25000 on back still legal.Think i'll try a softer compound tire next time maybe the uniroyal that you all like, just wondering if it would be noisy with the V tread.
