  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 68% while driving a Volvo XC40 Recharge P8 AWD (245/45 R19) on a combination of roads for 8,000 average miles
These are the OEM tires that came on my Polestar from the factory. Dry and wet grip and braking is very impressive and the tires have great handling characteristics and a comfortable ride. Unfortunately the winter performance is abysmal - during the first snow that we got for the season (about an inch of fluffy, freshly fallen powder) braking from 17mph took about 7-8 times longer than normal with ABS working the whole way. Later that day I was stopping from 20mph and the rear end broke loose and drifted to the right a bit. The tires did take correction well so I will give them that, but they are not nearly as confidence inspiring as the dedicated winter tires I am used to on the other cars in my fleet. I would happily buy these tires again for summer and wet season use, just be aware that they are the traditional "3 season" tires as opposed to some of the newer All Seasons that have winter tire adjacent performance.

One of the best all around tires for living in Maryland with a RWD vehicle. If it snows more than 4 inches I do switch to snow tires. But for the past 2 years we have had almost no snow so these have just stayed on all year long.

This was the tire that came on the rear of the 23 VW ID.4 Pro S AWD. These lasted 24,000 miles and I am disappointed they wore out so fast. The front tires still have some tread and would go maybe another couple of thousand miles but they are a different size.

Initial Impressions Review

I'm writing to share my experiences with Pirelli tires, as I've had two instances in the past decade. The first was around 10 years ago when I fitted a set of their all-season tires (I do not remember the model). At first, I found them quite peculiar; for the initial 500 to 1000 miles, the car had an unsettling floaty feel at speeds 45-55 mph on concrete roads. It felt like driving a boat! Over time, it improved, but I only put 16,000 miles on them before replacing them.

My current experience with Pirelli P Zero All Season tires on my BMW has been much worse. They're factory-fitted, but the car's handling is unpredictable. Some days, it's bearable, while others, tramlining (following road grooves) terribly on the same roads at the same speed, seemingly temperature or maybe moisture dependent. After about 350 miles, highway driving feels like I'm navigating a high-speed boat in choppy water. These tires might excel on German autobahns, but they're far from ideal for Colorado's concrete roads. The ride comfort is virtually non-existent; they transmit every road imperfection, even with the adaptive M suspension in comfort mode. Uphill driving on curved roads induces a slide-like feeling. I'm extremely disappointed with these tires.

I've tried adjusting tire pressure with no noticeable improvement.

Initial Impressions Review

Hi, From a start position tires felt like they were to hard and did not grip as well leading to spins just in normal everyday traffic. The car would hydro plane in puddles on the highway, to the point I had to reduce speed and remove myself from the highway. The feed back from the tires was average. In corners on sunny days the tires were very responsive and felt secure. These tires had a tire wear rating of 500 but only lasted 17398 miles to a tire depth of 3/32 in a mix of city and highway driving applications. The tires were reasonably comfortable in the city or on the highway. Tires last me typically 4 years or 50,000 mile before a need to buy a new set , these tires lasted a little over a year therefore I would not purchase them again. I may choose Good Year Eagle all seasons due to expected value per mile ( tread wear / price) and professional reviews such as Tire reviews.

Currently on 35,000 miles rears 6mm front 4mm would I buy again yes but then these are the only All season tires in this size
