Pirelli CINTURATO P7 Reviews - Page 12

Given 95% while driving a Alfa Romeo Giulietta (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 50,000 spirited miles
These tires came fitted on the car from new. The original front tires were replaced at 42k, which is incredible for a 170bhp front wheel drive car, with another pair of P7 Cinturato's. The original rear tires still going strong at 50k with still 5mm of tread left. Would not hesitate in buying these tires again.

Given 73% while driving a Volvo V70 2.4 (205/55 R16) on mostly town for 4,000 easy going miles
Great tire on confort, grip is fine at dry, above average in wet. Mostly relex driving and these tires have been good overall.

Given 81% while driving a Volvo C30 SE Sport 2.0TD (205/50 R17 V) on a combination of roads for 12,000 spirited miles
Impressed, these tires suit the car very well realy sharpening up the steering and feedback. The grip is excellent in the dry and wet never being overstretched for a car of this size and power, but can have fun with predictible movement in the wet. They do produce a little more noise that I would like on motorways and wear on the front is highish given the car's weight and power, but you can't have everything!
Have had Sportcontact 3's, Bridgestone and Michelins, these are far better, not ultimate grip - but expremly well balanced that makes driving fun and safe.

Given 83% while driving a BMW 116d SPort (205/50 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 3,000 average miles
Bought a full set of 4 to replace the awful Bridgestone RE040 runflats on my 1 series even though they only had 2500 miles on them! BMW recommended them as an alternative tire and I opted to go non-runflat and haven't looked back. Early days with just a few K on them but so far they seem grippier than the Bridgestones, better in the wet and so much more comfortable and quieter. Fuel consumption has also improved too. They aren't the sportiest tires in the world but for real world driving they seem very good and more than up the the job of the occasional sporty drive. Don't confuse these tires with the older P7, these are great tires and I would recommend. I'll come back again and see if I this still stands as I come to the end of the life of the tires.

Given 86% while driving a Volkswagen Passat Variant 1.8T (215/55 R16 W) on mostly town for 3,000 average miles
I got P7C with my new VW Passat Variant 1.8t in April. First impression was really not good. It was just average with one exception - no comfort. I was even upset.

However later on I realized one thing - tires start to operate perfectly if outside temperature is more than +16C!

To put it simple good SUMMER tire.

Given 86% while driving a BMW 320D (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 8,000 spirited miles
First of all My tires was runflat. I cannot recommend this tires to BMW owners anymore. My BMW came with bridgestone RE050A runflat they were extremely stiff.Their turn in (quick lane change) was excellent but ride comfort was so bad. These Pirelli runflats more softer so it gives more comfort, they are not sporty as bridgestones but still good.

Also they are soo quiet.

If you want a comfortable runflat definetely buy Cinturato P7 runflats.

Given 57% while driving a Volkswagen Scirocco 2.0 TSI 210hp (235/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 7,500 average miles
Had these tires as standard fit from new and checked the pressures every 2 weeks and the front tires are showing uneven wear on the front tires which appeared to be down to overinflation.

Tires provide decent grip and provide a quiet ride but be aware that they wear very quickly and it looks like I will need new front tires by 10k whilst the rear tires still have 7mm of tread on them.

Given 63% while driving a Alfa Romeo 166 V6 3.2 (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 5,000 average miles
I took the car equipper with DOT 2210 P7 Cinturato with good wear level. less than 5000 miles from then front tires have less than 2mm above the protector and I was never impressed with the tire grip or feedback. Consumption was below the car's average with other tires though, which justifies their price.

Given 36% while driving a Ford Mondeo (235/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 10,000 average miles
Fitted to pair on front of 59 plate Mondeo diesel. Fuel consumption worsened by 10% and tires now need replacing after just over 10k miles. Previous Michelins lasted 18k miles. Not a happy driver

Given 88% while driving a Volvo S40 2.0d (205/55 R16 H) on a combination of roads for 800 easy going miles
Great tire, much better than previous Dunlop SP Maxx. Very quiet, much more comfortable ride and has decreased on board computer fuel consumption by 2 miles per gallon within weeks! Picked up the BMW spec H rated tires from the link on this site for a very reasonable price. Would definitely buy again.
