The Nankang SV3 has a consistent wet-braking weakness across three Auto Bild qualifiers, supported by ADAC's earlier criticism of wet grip. In 2026 it ranked 29th of 50 for wet braking, 29.1% behind the best. The corresponding results were 34th of 54 and 22.3% behind in 2023, and 34th of 57 and 23.4% behind in the 2022 market overview. These are lower-half results across different sizes and years, rather than one unusually poor stop.
Winter grip is another concern. Snow braking was 27th of 30 in the 2026 qualifier, although the gap to the best was relatively small at 3.8%. ADAC placed it last of 12 in its 2018 test and described it as very weak on snow as well as in the wet, with high fuel consumption. Good dry-road performance was ADAC's one positive, but there are no detailed dry results here to establish a broader advantage. The record is dominated by braking qualifiers, so it gives a clearer picture of stopping limitations than of handling, comfort or long-term wear.
