The Imperial Snowdragon UHP repeatedly struggles with wet braking and cornering. Auto Bild recorded wet stopping distances 26.9% longer than the best in its 2022 overview and 32% longer in 2025, ranking 44th of 57 and 43rd of 52 respectively. ADAC in 2025 placed it 26th of 31 in wet braking on both surfaces and 29th of 30 on the wet circle, describing very low grip and early losses of balance. In the 2021 Tire Reviews winter test it finished last of nine overall, with last place in measured wet braking and handling and a 36.2% wet stopping deficit.
There are narrower positives. ADAC projected 59,300 km of life in 2025, 11th of 31, and measured the fifth-lowest abrasion. The 2021 dry handling result was third of ten, only 0.9% behind the fastest, with praise for how it drove and relatively low external noise. That good dry handling contrasts unusually with ADAC's 2025 criticism of steering precision and evasive-maneuver oversteer. Dry braking also differed: last of ten in 2021 but described as good by ADAC in 2025, despite a 20th-of-31 placing. Snow braking and traction were near the bottom in both detailed tests, and aquaplaning resistance was weak. The 2021 test also criticised high rolling resistance.

The Imperial Snowdragon UHP receives poor overall driving safety ratings due to pronounced weaknesses on wet roads, despite satisfactory dry and winter performance, though it achieves good environmental ratings for a poor overall judgment. On dry roads, it shows weaknesses in precision and steering feedback requiring constant corrections, with oversteering tendencies during evasive maneuvers and satisfactory limit behavior, though braking distances are still good. On wet surfaces, it receives poor ratings overall with very early under/oversteering tendencies and poor force combination compared to other test products, plus very low grip and limit performance, with only satisfactory braking and longitudinal aquaplaning but adequate lateral aquaplaning. In winter conditions, it achieves satisfactory ratings overall with satisfactory snow and ice braking plus snow traction, but only adequate handling due to imprecise control, low limits, and early under/oversteering tendencies requiring better force combination. This Chinese-manufactured tire receives clearly good environmental ratings with good predicted mileage, low tire wear, and good efficiency thanks to low weight and fuel consumption.
