Come stock with forester 2.5xt. It's more of a low range comfort tires. Prefer more sport grip. Change to 5955ss after JUST 600km, 595ss good in price grip in dry and wet, BUT damn noisy can't wait to change to re001

After a balancing problem with last set of Khumos 31 i tried these. Firstly they are indeed a more comfortable tire and quieter on good roads. However wet road grip is not so great , dry grip notably worse , it feels as if the tire leans over then grips and on scared tarmac the noise level rises. So these might now go on the back and the hardly worn Khumos back on the front. Prehaps i might try the directional Falkens next. To sum up a quality tire for 7/10 motoring, If you want to push on ..no , not on a Focus anyway.

I am now on my second set of these tires. Being a bit of a car nut I have in the past subscribed to over-exaggerated claims of sports tires being better than sliced bread etc. Mostly its all hype. A company with a large brand name can easily pay for such high accolaides through the aid of their marketing companies.
Ive used Dunlop, Yokohama, Pirelli and Goodyear tires. All are substandard compared to the 912s im using. Fantastic in the wet, fantastic in the dry, great feedback, great response, great longevity. Im a convert. For the price, they are quite possibly the best value tire per mile than any other you will come across.
These in my opinion are seconded only by Bridgestone and their wealth of on track experience.
As a road user these tires have to be tried to be beleived. As a track user, i wouldnt normally have tried these, but in desperate times they have performed as well as any race bred sport tire i have used.
These tires can be pushed and pushed in any condition and will always let you know when they are going to give up on you.
Cracking buy.

Replaced a set of Yokohama's based on previous reports that I had read.
First indications were good as I travelled 200 mile down to the SW. Absolutely fantastic on motorway as a minimal amount of road noise was delivered (lower than the Yoko's).
The Devonshire lanes were a great test for these tires as mud and water are predominant on most of the roads. I had a family in the car at all times so I was not attempting anything remotely silly but those tightening bends that catch you out were handled superbly without any movement from the front, an assured grip and feel was delivered at all times which felt extremely reassuring, almost to the point you wanted to try and make them work harder!
These were the first pair of Falkens I have purchased and I am very satisfied with these. These were fitted to a Mitsubishi Grandis Elegance, the weight of the vehicle seemed to work well with these tires.

Replaced my Goodyear Eagle F1's with these as the Goodyears were awful in winter last year (North Scotland) and in fact downright dangerous anywhere out of summer. The Falkens were a real surprise from day one, no more tramlining, road shock, and I was suddenly enjoying the stereo, limousine style road noise. I will be reluctant to fit the F1's next summer on my 17's and may well opt for the Falken 451 or 452as a summer tire. After only 1000 miles the Falkens are beginning to convince me that they have a winner here and possibly apply the same tire technology to all their products. A lot of tire snobbery out there and they cash in on a named brand. Bit like trainers really, crap sole good name, but you still fall on your arse!

These Falkens, replaced my burned Potenzas RE040 on the front, and SportContis 3 on the rear. On the way from the service I was quite dissapointed. The sidewall of Falkens looks like made of wax and feedback to the steering was rapidly less, than in case of Potenzas.(just only 60 or 70%)
After increasing presure to 2,9 KPa instead of 2,4, recommended by Nissan, it looks much better. Feedback was increased, but it?s still not on the Potenzas level.
After running more than 500 km, and letting tires get warm and cold for few times, character of tires is much improved.
And now something about good things of them !! :-)
Compound of tires is quite soft and the grip on the dry tarmac is much better then Potenzas, and maybe better too, than older SportContis. Because of stiffer sidewalls, I feel much better a limit of grip.
I found out, that road noise is dramatically less, then SportContis, which was screaming queen :-D
Stiffer sidewalls much helps to suspension make a ride smoother. BUT....I?m not sure, if it?s the thing I really want :-D
ALl in all.....Falkens are very acurate, safe and comfort tires with very good grip. Value for the money is amazing.
BUT....If you like hard, agressive driving your (Z), you should looks for tires with a bit more solid sidewalls.
I guess, my next tires will be Falkens FK452.

not bad,as good so far as the yokahamas i had before them.they seem to squirrel about if i put the power down on take off,not sure if the sidewalls are stiff enough.yet to try them on fast motorway.only paid 120 the pair from angels in st leonards, very good value for money.

Changed out from Conti Sport Contact 2. The Mondeo is a big heavey car and the Conti's were done in on the front at 13k miles. The 912's feel great and I've noticed no loss of traction dry or wet and noise levels are if anything a bit quieter with the 912's. I have found that they drive through standing water with no drama and no sense of aquaplaning.
I will definately be buying these again.

For the price, very good indeed.
What is often missed is that these are all seasons tires and so should outperform standard tires in the cold & wet.

These tires are very good. My car came with Continental Eco Contact3 165/70/14, and I replaced them with Falken ze912 185/60/15 on a new pair of Rial rims. Everybody told me the road noise will be louder, and the car's consumption will rise. I was in for a big surprise. Road noise the same, consumption the same, but dry grip and handling ... much better. The car turns where i want, when i want and as fast as i want. Very very good tires. Tried them once in rain. Nothing bad here.
