I got these tires to replace my balding Michelin PS-2. These became a big disappointemnt after using the PS-2. The cornering of the Continental 2 is pathetic. After using them for 1000 km (purchased from Ryan's staff/friend shop)they still did not improve as suggested by Ryan Chua (his staff) of www.bmw-sg.com. Not only were they sponsorship biased, but also rouges into duping me that they were Europeans working there. As a British working in Singapore, I feel obliged to inform my fellow Brits/expats to stay away from unofficial bmw sites like this. I'm going back to Michelin PS-2 again.

Car: MercedesBenz C220 CDI Sports
Fitment: Rear Wheels
Usage: 18800 miles (Std fitment on MB, so from new)
Size: 245/40/R17 (Rear) / 225/45/R17 (Front)
Note: Being a rear-wheel drive car, the fronts still have about 3mm tread on them, so expect them to last another 2000 miles.
Observations: Road noise is medium. Wear & tear is low. Had 1 puncture at about 10k miles and was repaired without issues. Long lasting (lasted me 19k miles) and I'm an average driver. Dry grip is good. Wet grip is bad, especially around corners. Snow driving is particularly bad.
Replaced with: Pirelli P-Zero Rosso and think they're much better all-around tires. Have only driven them in dry conditions so far, but find them to be much better than the C-SC2.

I enjoy these, my 08 Astra 120ps derv handles lovely as can be expected for a vauxhall on these.. Haven't had any "big eyes, brown pants" moments.. If anything. its quite a boring and safe drive.. Best moment is overtaking a bus in bad rain and hit a small lake grown across the road.. Kept it pinned and the car kept straight and felt solid through the aqua-plane..
Tire wear on the front is not best, 9k and was worth 6points.. Looking towards next set now at 17k.. Backs are still fine though, so shows my driving style.. Would look to another make if it was my choice but its a company car..

Wet & Dry grip much the same. Ice, look out if you have ABS. Replaced Continentals as the rear noise was. To be fair after buying the car the rear tires (265/35-18)were running with about 3.5mm tread, 8000 miles reduced this to 1.7mm when the noise was worst. They stuck to the road like glue. I "can" loose the Goodyears with 376ft/lbs of torque, complete loss if not for traction control. Ride is great!---Front tires also new 245/40-18 F1, No problem at all (except Ice)Havn't lost steering or braking even slightly. All tires wearing perfectly square.

Lack?s traction even on 2nd or 3rd gear and the foot goes down unleashing the torque of the engine; they just spin out and would be worse if wasn't?t for the traction control... Very noisy! Not impressive in dry, they do their job but not with confidence. Same thing in wet conditions; Aquaplaning is an option, I?ve had them for a few time but have been awarded with 2 or 3 scares of that kind. On the upper hand they seem to last longer then some of the other "sporty" tires i used. Conclusion: A medium all aspect tire, but one of the worse sets i?ve mounted in the front axis. Worse than these? Perhaps only a couple of Bridgestones Turanza ER30 that came with the car.

Really disliked these tires fitted as standard to my car. Under general driving, they were very twitchy and could break traction in second and third gear.
However, on an emergency high speed cross country dash, they were very good, Gripped well, didn't slide about at all, but this was with the car being ragged to within an inch of its life.
So for me, too much of a comprimise, I replaced the fronts at 21000 miles with Falken FK452's, which are half the price and much better all round tires.
Won't consider them again, even if they were the same price as the Falkens.

Driving an astra 1.9cdti sri sporthatch 150 on Conti Sport 2's can only be described as fun. All the reliabilty and grip you need from a set of tires can be found in these. The only let down from the awesome performance is the wear rate on the front tires. I dont think i will buy these tires again but this is only because i have my eyes set on Conti Sport 3's. Otherwise a good safe performance tire all round.

Very good handling on wet but can be really noisy. I have done only 7k but seems to be wearing pretty quickly.

Had these on the front to replace the Goodyear Excellence that came as standard when new. Fitted at about 15k miles and now need replacing at 25k miles on the clock. Higher wear rate than the Goodyears, but road holding in wet and dry good. Replacing with Falken 452 all round, as budget is tight!

I have only used these tires on this car, so i cant compare them to any other tire, however when these tires were new they gave excellent grip on the dry and wet. but after doing about 7000 miles on them i could notice a clear differance to the grip levals. after about 10000 miles i had to change the tires as they had worn down to the legal limit. I did expect a high performance tire like those to last at least double that milage. I have used michilin on a diffirent car and those still had about 20000 miles left on them at 30000 miles. it was also a big blow at the price if these sport cont 2's ?180 for one. which is quite expensive every 10000 miles. thats just over ?700 pounds spent on tires alone every year.
The ride comfort on these tires are a little hard but you expext that from lowish profiles, it would also depend on what type of suspension you have on your car, so i cant really comment on the ride comfort.
however with all this said i think this is a very good tire for grip and control but just wears down too quickly.

Had 19inch versions of these on my E Class. 245/35ZR19 at front and 275/30ZR19 at rear. Think the dry grip is quite good but its ability to get rid of water in what it's really good at. Traction control doesn't have to work over time with these tires.
However, these are very soft tires, rather like the Milchelin Sports so don't expect to last long. You would find small stones easiy penetrate these tires.
Overall 8 out of 10 and have replaced my first set at rear with the same again because they have the best alloy protection design. If you curb the wheels, you're more likely not to have scratched your wheels with these tires.

So far so good, havent drove to far on these yet, but I like them so far, good positive feedback them. Gives me more confidence to stay on the revs when taking tighter corners. A good all round tire.
