Passenger Car All Weather Premium Touring Tires Tire Review Highlights
Pirelli Cinturato WeatherActive — rated 80%
while driving a Subaru BRZ for 5000 miles
I live in temperate Vancouver, I daily a ‘24 BRZ, and I drive it like it was made to be driven. <br />
I bought these as my winter tires since we rarely get snow here in winter, but we do get a lot of rain and winter tire temperatures. <br />
They are excellent in the wet. They cut through standing water on straights and curves, good braking, predictable handling and smooth transitions between grip and no grip. <br />
<br />
I bought them after watching your YouTube video on all season performance tires a couple years ago. They’re not exactly the same tire as your European pirelli all seasons, but they are very similar. <br />
Would buy again, and when my current oem Michelin ps4 wear out I’ll consider getting the pirelli p zero r, especially if they are on sale like the weatheractives were.<br />
<br />
Nothing wrong with the ps4, it is an outstanding summer tire in the wet and dry. Absolutely no complaints about them. So much grip for my light little car.

Bridgestone WeatherPeak — rated 66%
while driving a Toyota Avalon 2021 for 50000 miles
I got my Bridgestone Weatherpeaks on my 2021 Toyota Avalon summer 2024, spending 2 winters and 1.5 summers on them. I never meant to get the weatherpeaks but the shop I went to had their inventory off and didn't have the tires i wanted in after telling me they did, and gave me a discount on these for their error. <br />
<br />
They are fine tires. I never had them seriously slip in the snow or ice in northern Midwest US winters. They ride rougher than the touring tires I prefer but no rougher than winter tires. <br />
<br />
When they were new they would get pulled around by the grooves in pavement on some highways and freeways, which was unnerving but not hazardous. This was likely because of the blocky tread because it stopped happening after they wore down over a few months. <br />
<br />
They feel spongy and like I mentioned before have a rougher ride than I like, but when you're buying this class of tire you aren't doing it for comfort and road feel, you're doing it because you only want one set of tires that can do everything just fine, which these tires do. <br />
<br />
I would not buy Bridgestone Weatherpeaks again just because I will not be buying any tires in the All Weather class again. I never really meant to in the first place. I figured I would just go with it to try them because I was getting a discount and I really needed new tires at the time. <br />
<br />
They still have a little life in them after 50k miles but it's time for me to go back to switching between a summer/touring tire set and a winter tire set as this is a better experience for me.

Bridgestone WeatherPeak — rated 66%
while driving a Honda Odyssey for 15000 miles
Low noise, decent snow traction. Just OK dry traction. Less than ideal MPG. Wearing quickly at just 20k I might get 35k miles out of them on my Odyssey. Good in the rain. Would not buy again just based on expected life span.

Continental SecureContact AW — rated 90%
while driving a Toyota 2018 Camry V6 · Driving on a combination of roads for 3000 average miles
Ran these the past few months in a canadian winter and so far I'm really impressed. They're solid feeling, have excellent grip and are quiet. I will report back in the future to see how they're getting on.

Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady 2 — rated 70%
while driving a Lincoln MKC · Driving on mostly motorways for 2000 easy going miles
I drive 50K year throughout WI & MN. 30 days ago, after 80K miles, all 4 Weather Ready Gen 1's were replaced with a set of Weather Ready 2's. The Gen 1's averaged 26 mpg throughout the entire 80K. The Weather Ready 2's are averaging 22mpg. That doesn't sound like much, but it's almost 100 miles per tank. At $2.75 gal it's roughly $100.00/month. I can't detect any measurable difference between the Gen1 and 2's other than the mpg. My only regret is not researching more thoroughly. I believe I could have found tires with equal performance without losing $100.00/month.

Firestone WeatherGrip — rated 84%
while driving a Jeep Cherokee Limited 2015 · Driving on a combination of roads for 40000 easy going miles
I love these tires. I live on the front range of Colorado so I think these are perfect for the location. These tires act the most like a snow tire, that you can drive all year round. They are also very comfortable which is great for the bad roads here. They do wear a little fast (I get new ones after about 40,000 miles, though I'm sure you could push them to 50,000) and they aren't the best in the wet (which isn't a problem where I live), but they are good enough for sure. These are the only tires I have purchased again once they wore out, so I think they are great for what I need.

Michelin CrossClimate 2 AW — rated 83%
while driving a Lexus IS250 RWD · Driving on mostly country roads for 3000 average miles
I am using the Michelin CC2 AW (USA SPEC) on my 2007 Lexus IS250 6MT. I have these tires mounted in 245/45/18 size (the OEM size is 255/40/18) but they fit great on my OEM wheels in a different size. I love how soft and comfortable they were compared to my Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 tires I ran previously. I find the grip to be significantly less than the Pilot Sports, where when cornering hard on highway entrance ramps, my car often triggers the traction control light (something I did not experience on my Pilot Sport AS4 tires). The tires are quiet at this time (only 3k miles on them) and I have not noticed a hit in fuel economy where I still average 26-27mpg during my daily commute at (45 degrees Fahrenheit) of 23 miles one way, and 23 miles back home at 60mph. Overall I do enjoy the tires, I feel they will offer much improved longevity compared to my Pilot Sport AS4 tires I had before. The tradeoff is dry and wet grip with a significant increase in ice, snow grip, and longevity.

while driving a Mazda CX 5 · Driving on mostly country roads for 1600 average miles
"Running the Weather Ready 2 (225 65 17)on a 2023 CX 5 (3 weeks in), so far love it dry , wet very good, ride outstanding, handling fab . It is quiet enough for me and then some but lost 2 to 2.5 miles per gallon , I can live with that small price to pay. Snow tomorrow (4 to 6), heading over many mountains up into the Catskills from New Jersey over High point mountain first. I will report."<br />
Report time: the good the bad and ugly................Was pretty clear (just starting) till I got close on RTE 17 three lane 65 MPH limit then cuts to two no problem took it slow 40-50 now the exit ramp white no tire marks just snow , played a little hit brakes stopped quick no bad habits ran true. Oh a pickup and a work van on the guard rail cops there now this was at bottom pretty clear most likely just going to fast on crappy tires. So 5.5 hours later I decide to leave snowing all that time at a good clip 5-7 inches I would say so off I go out of the lot which we keep clean onto street nothing done no plowing down the hill to the main road I take it slow so no problem but not fun stopped well at bottom . Made my turn onto main road still no plowing the tires do not like this deep snow my blizzaks would have ate it up like a snack and my Falken weather peak F1 ice would have been a lot more confidence inspiring they don't eat they just do it quietly and confidently. I prefer the blizzaks you don't have to be good on those they are the all powerful tool for the winter. So I baby it down the mountain 15- 20 mph at most stay off the freeway parallel side road to many low IQ drivers going to fast on highway. Now about half way there has a least been some attempt to plow and look sand YEAH! not that much better I go into manual mode incline getting worse in second let it do it's thing , staying off that break folks. Get to bottom still snow loose not to packed yet, good stop well. A right on to 209 heading south to cut it short the more I go the better it gets less snow not black pavement by any means but a lot lighter slowly picked up speed as conditions improved here the Weather Readys shined then snow turn to cold rain roads more wet than snow they are in their element here love this tire in that environment not the blizzaks so much Falkens skirt the middle.. The rest it all black roads with rain up down High Point Mountain at a good pace 50 or so twisted turny one lane state park road they are the blizzaks in this environment! So now after a half hour to get down the first mountain a bit of white knuckle driving do I get a set of snows, blizzaks the Falkins only 114 usds play the middle or keep rolling on the GoodYears, Hmmmm.

Pirelli Cinturato WeatherActive — rated 86%
while driving a Ford Explorer · Driving on a combination of roads for 60 spirited miles
I purchased these over the Crossclimate 2 because of the better ice conditions rating. This will be my 2nd winter with them, here in Michigan US, and I have been quite happy with them. They are not as precise as my Continental DS06, but they ride a bit softer. I switched back to the WeatherActive’s just days before 6 inches of snow and they preformed confidently with the all-wheel drive.

Been using cross climates for 2 different cars now for my all year round. Pretty reliable even in snow, car is just a bit heavy that you need to break in advance.

I live in the south so snow is rare but with my Subaru awd and these tire i feel fine driving at any rate in rain or shine I’ve have these tires for roughly 15000 miles so far wear seems good but I haven’t measured it so I’ll leave it as N/A

General Altimax 365AW — rated 76%
while driving a Nissan Nissan Elgrand E51 · Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 average miles
Put these tires on my wife's AWD van after seeing good reviews on Consumer Reports. It's an all weather tire so we leave it on year round. Winter snow and ice grip has been surprisingly good. Getting us through some pretty nasty snow storm here in the mountains of BC (Canada). Summer performance is pretty average but fine for our camperized van.
