StrengthsThe Hankook iON FlexClimate was the most complete tire in the test and the only one designed specifically for electric cars. It led the wet braking, wet handling and wet circle work, was among the very best on dry roads, and still returned the longest projected tread life of any tire here - an unusual mix of grip and durability. ConsiderationsIts weakest area was snow, where it dropped to mid-field rather than challenging the snow specialists. Rolling resistance was only mid-pack, and it carried the highest purchase price in the group. StrengthsThe Continental AllSeasonContact 2 offered some of the highest safety reserves across the whole test. It was genuinely strong on snow, secure in the wet, quiet, and easy on rolling resistance. ConsiderationsIt gave up a little to the best on dry roads, where its handling and braking sat just behind the sharpest tires in the group. Score contributionCategory score × of overall score Dry96.06 × 27% = 25.93 Wet97.33 × 37% = 36.01 Snow98.07 × 26% = 25.5 Comfort91.88 × 5% = 4.59 Value89.82 × 5% = 4.49

StrengthsThe Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 was the snow and aquaplaning benchmark of the test, leading snow traction, snow grip and both aquaplaning tests. It also had among the lowest rolling resistance and the shortest dry braking. ConsiderationsIts handling was less convincing, trailing the leaders in both the wet and the dry, and its projected tread life was among the lower in the group. Score contributionCategory score × of overall score Dry98.76 × 27% = 26.67 Wet97.9 × 37% = 36.22 Snow99.68 × 26% = 25.92 Comfort91.6 × 5% = 4.58 Value86.65 × 5% = 4.33

StrengthsThe Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 was a balanced all-rounder with no real weak season, backed by one of the longest projected tread lives in the test and competitive wet and dry handling. ConsiderationsDry braking was a clear weak point, among the longest here, and it was also off the pace in straight-line aquaplaning resistance. Score contributionCategory score × of overall score Dry94.34 × 27% = 25.47 Wet95.77 × 37% = 35.43 Snow96.45 × 26% = 25.08 Comfort100 × 5% = 5 Value94.12 × 5% = 4.71

StrengthsThe Kleber Quadraxer SUV was one of the strongest tires on snow, near the front for handling, traction and grip, with good aquaplaning resistance and a relatively low price. ConsiderationsOn dry and wet roads its handling fell towards the back of the field, lacking the composure of the leaders. Score contributionCategory score × of overall score Dry96.22 × 27% = 25.98 Wet96.58 × 37% = 35.73 Snow98.94 × 26% = 25.72 Comfort95.28 × 5% = 4.76 Value86.25 × 5% = 4.31

StrengthsThe Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 was the efficiency champion, with the lowest rolling resistance in the test, and it was strong on dry roads with good braking, handling and a high projected tread life. ConsiderationsIt struggled on snow and in the wet-grip tests, finishing near the bottom of the field for snow handling, aquaplaning and the wet circle. Score contributionCategory score × of overall score Dry97.77 × 27% = 26.4 Wet94.12 × 37% = 34.82 Snow93.4 × 26% = 24.28 Comfort98.77 × 5% = 4.94 Value96.84 × 5% = 4.84

StrengthsThe Maxxis Premitra All Season AP3 kept up reasonably well on dry roads and showed no serious safety failings for a budget tire. ConsiderationsIt was at or near the bottom of the field for snow grip, wet braking and aquaplaning, was the loudest tire in the test, and wore relatively quickly. Score contributionCategory score × of overall score Dry96.3 × 27% = 26 Wet91.94 × 37% = 34.02 Snow91.02 × 26% = 23.66 Comfort89.72 × 5% = 4.49 Value70.81 × 5% = 3.54

StrengthsThe Goodtrip BlueGuard AS was the cheapest tire in the test and put in a surprisingly capable showing on snow for a budget product. ConsiderationsIts dry and wet handling were the weakest in the group, and it had the shortest projected tread life by some margin, which undercuts its low price. These are calculated scenarios, not new test awards. The published verdict may reflect judgement, close results and factors outside this calculation.
Not ranked: a measurement needed for these weights is missing. Missing results are not treated as zero or redistributed.
Reference tires provide context only. They do not set the benchmark and cannot win the personalised ranking.
Weighting vs real impact
What decides this ranking
The weighting is how much each category counts. The real impact is how much of the difference between the tires it creates: a discipline in which every tire performed about the same barely changes the order, however much it counts.
No weighting is recorded for this test, so the weighting here starts from Tire Reviews’ season defaults, not from the test’s own scoring.
- Dry Weighting 27% Real impact 19%
- Wet Weighting 37% Real impact 40%
- Snow Weighting 26% Real impact 19%
- Comfort Weighting 5% Real impact 7%
- Value Weighting 5% Real impact 16%
- Wear counts for 1.9% of the score but creates 9% of the difference between the tires, because their results in it were far apart.
- Dry Handling counts for 13.5% of the score but creates only 4% of the difference, because most tires performed about the same in it.

How it is worked out: each discipline’s weighting is multiplied by the spread of its results (the gap across the middle half of the tires, as a percentage of the best result), then shared out so that all the disciplines add up to 100%. It estimates what separates the tires; it is not a second set of weights, and it follows the weights you set.
How your ranking is calculated
Each discipline is scored against the best non-reference tire in the full test field: best ÷ result × 100 when lower is better, or result ÷ best × 100 when higher is better. Discipline scores are rounded to two decimal places, then combined using your weights.
Within-category weights divide that category’s share of the overall score. A 50% wet category and 40% wet-braking share give wet braking 20% of the total. A weight is a scoring priority, not a measure of its actual effect on the ranking: the performance gaps matter too. What decides this ranking ↑
Published joint positions are preserved separately. Calculated positions tie only when their underlying scores match; two displayed scores can look equal after rounding.
A zero weight excludes that category or discipline. At least one active discipline is required, and the disciplines in every active category must have a positive total.
