155/70 R17 Tire Review Highlights
Writing about the Dunlop Mutant
rated 100%
I bought a set of Dunlop Mutant tires for my Suzuki V Strom 650 and usually when I put new tires I am extremy careful for the first 100 miles as most of the tires are slippery when new. However I put those tires on my bike and went for a ride, completely forgetting that I have new tires and need to be careful. The most amazing thing for me was that I didn't even noticed that they are new. No hesitation on the curves, no slippery situations, nothing which indicates any sort of issue. I am already on +5000 miles on my bike and they are still in a wonderful condition to take many more miles. Exceptional handling in all kinds of conditions - wet, dry, back roads, light offroads, in wide variety of temperatures. I haven't tried them dyring thw winter only, bit everything else is no issue with the Dunlop Mutant. I will definitely buy them again.

The tire I have is a 150/70 R17 not listed above, fitted to the rear of my Honda VFR1200 Crosstourer. this was fitted two years ago and has only done 3620 miles since then, the tire is close to the limit of the wear indicators and I may get another 500 miles.
While it has performed well I am far from happy with the milage that I have had out of it, unless I am expecting too much??
My last bike was a Pan European 1300, which traveled all over and was use abroad for 3 year, I got much better wear from the tires on that, using Bridgestone tires.....

great tires, comfortable, quiet, great grip in all conditions. Fantastic wear, tires still reasonable after 32,000 km,have to be happy with that. Dissapointed that they have been replaced with the 41, totally different tire.

Compared to my previous set of pirelli Diablo rosso 2 these tires warm up faster on public roads wet grip is much better the are much more predictable on wet but not better than the rosso on the dry so to conclude having riden on both sets i recommend you go for the dunlop for daily driver or lighter motorcycle and go for the pirelli if you are looking for supersport cornering and and you dont care about wet road grip

I have worn out 2 sets of Anakee III with GS 1200 (2008). It is amazing in the wet. Michelin rubber quality is legendary.

Nice tire, the grip is really good in dry or wet road but worn to fast, 5k miles on my R 1200 GS bike.

Used on my Super Tenere. Over road imperfections and in the wet the tire is nasty. I started off liking them in the dry, but over time have began to hate them.
