Volkswagen Polo 9N3 4 door Tire Review Highlights
I've had the tire on a 80hp 1ton Polo 9n3 from 2009 for roughly 10000 km. The only comparison I have is with a budget and extremely old winter tire.
It handles well on wet surfaces, but I can't really speak about road feel, as the polo's steering is terrible in that regard. I've never felt the tire loosing grip in corners and it gave me great confidence in very wet conditions, though I have to say that wet braking seems a bit bad (but this might be a symptom of the rather skinny tire itself).
Dry driving and fuel economy over all has been great (80km/h 4.9L/100km, 100km/h 5.5L/100km, 130km/h 6.5L/100km), as is the road noise which is more than acceptable. In the dry I would have to say that the car is a bit skittish (new Sachs shocks) so take that as you wish, but that might be, again, the fault of the rather soft suspension the Polo has.
Overall, for the price, I can't say I'm disappointed and I can definitely recommend them, especially if you get a good deal on them, but I'd go ahead and buy them at full price too.
