Performance Analysis
Drawn from 3 tests. Updated October 28, 2026.
The Pirelli Cinturato All Season Plus showed more convincing handling than braking in its Auto Bild tests. In the 2018 full All Season Tire Test it finished ninth of ten overall, despite dry handling ranking third of twelve and snow handling fifth, only 1% behind the best. Testers praised balanced dry handling, precise steering, and traction and secure cornering on snow and ice. Dry braking was eleventh of twelve, 17.4% longer than the best, and wet braking tenth, 22.5% longer. High wear and rolling resistance also counted against it.
The braking gap narrowed in the 2019 All Season Tire Performance Overview, but remained clear: dry braking was sixteenth of 31, 12.7% behind the best, and wet braking seventeenth, 12.1% behind, for sixteenth overall. Tenth of 27 in the 2018 braking shootout was more favorable than its placing among the selected tires in the full test. In that full test, projected life and cost per kilometer were both last of ten, while straight-line aquaplaning was eleventh of twelve. The record therefore supports some useful steering and winter handling qualities, with repeated stopping-distance limitations and a weak wear and running-cost result in the single detailed assessment.
