These tires were good in the dry as most tires are and braking in the dry was good too. But they are lethal in the wet and I had to be very careful as the back end could easily slip out due to my driving style. They did not last that long either. These are a poor budget tire for a sports saloon and dont perform well in the wet at all. And seing in the UK we get loads of wet weather i would not have these again. Dont get excited by the V tread and look of this tire thinking it shifts water well as it does not.

As my standard 16s were nearing their limit, I decide to chuck my 20s with brand new tires back on. After reading mixed reviews (though mostly positive) and finding my first choice tires unavailable I decide on the NS2. I have to say I am extremely happy with the choice.
I payed ?377 for the four tires from mytires.co.uk, which were delivered within about 3 days of my order. While the tire noise is noticeable (more on some surfaces), its by no means intrusive. Having had P-Zeros & Khumos on before I knew the ride comfort wouldn't be affected too much on the X-Trail.
In the dry as you'd expect there is not much to complain about (as with the majority of tires I guess). The car always gripped well, but ultra low 20s make a big difference whatever the brand. Wet road performance was my main area of interest - and today I found out how good these tires are and for the price.
I typically travel motorway, some town and a fair stretch of country (A & B) roads to work and back. While not a performance car, I found out today to my joy that the understeer I had been experiencing lately with the standard wheels and tires (worn) is totally eradicated.. particularly when entering a corner/roundabout too fast and just turning in. The turn-in is very precise and the grip (even under power) seems as it does in the dry... I must try harder!
I've only done around 200+ miles, but these tires have already given me a high degree of confidence in wet and dry road conditions. After this, the winter (snow) is my only other concern.
Points to note: For those that know little about X-Trails, the car does have an advance 4-wheel drive system called 'all mode 4x4' (a'la Nissan Skyline), which may or may not be playing a part in the wet (I keep it in auto and let the car decide). So its worth bearing that in mind if you base a purchase on my review. Also.. as quick as I drive it, it is a 4x4 not a sports car so reaching the tire's limit is rarely going to happen unless I do something insane.
Overall, for less than ?100/piece these tires seem well worth the money. Wet and dry grip insire confidence and road noise is not intrusive. I can't talk about wear rates yet, but other reviews suggest they will last well. Thumbs for to Nankang sport NS2.

Okay in the dry. Wet weather performance is worrying. Massive understeer on the Focus. If your going to potter around then this budget tire would be okay if you like reassurance in the wet spend more and buy Khumo.

NANGKANG NS2. Dry grip good. as good as leading brands toyo t1r and yoko.
wet grip ok to good. better tha toyo not as grippy as yoko a539.
wear rate excellent wear to grip ratio brilliant.
quieter than michy pilot exalto toyo and a539.
35 pound a pop well worth buying again and a pretty good tire all round happy at that price.

Really pleased with these though they have worn out quite quickly,,,,,
I thnk they may now be using a softer rubber compound to get the extra grip but as a result you go through them quite quickly,,,,well I have,,,,,
used to have conti's then ps2's then pilot sports now Nankangs and I really have never been able to tell the difference in driving, only in my wallet
320 gbp per rear for ps2's vs 117 delivered for Nankangs......
Like the tread and it all looks good,,,,,for all we know ps2 are probably made in the same factory in vietnam that kangs are....
Very happy with them,,,,,a great great great deal

Have lasted quite a bit of time on the car (13k) there is still plenty of tred left in the middle part of the tire but both inside and outside of the front tires have worn away to the point where they are now slicks.
Front can understeer badly in the wet but maybe part of this is down to the weight of the engine in such a small car.

already 20k miles on them, and the question is : whoah, will they die someday ?
I take some curves at 120mph without any trouble, some turn-around at 45mph, it always gripped on the dry or semi-wet road.
When it comes to wet, it's okay, never had any trouble with them. Anyway, it's miles better than my old Michelin Energy...
You can treat them badly, it seems that they just like it.
Anyway, i will definately buy these again... eerrr actually i had to buy 2 of them this morning, an {][@#{^ killed my front right tire with a screw this weekend...

Good grip in dry - while not overheated; almost no grip in wet. In summer they overheating after 5-10 hard cornering and tail begin to slide - it's fun, but not what I want for street driving.
On the other side - they wears slowly, looks like they will last forever.

These provided decent levels of grip in the dry; for a budget tire. Though in the wet they could be quite dangerous when trying to put down 220bhp, more so mid corner.
Despite covering 7,000 fast miles they had only worn by 2mm, so definitely long lasting.

I think this is a very good tire for the money. Grip is very good in wet and dry conditions, and tire noise is very low. Wear rate is alo excellent. The tire doesn't perform quite as well as premium brands but what do you expect when they cost less than half the price? They are still more than acceptable and highly recommended if you are on a budget.

HANDLING WITH ALMOST ANY TYRE ON A 300ZX IS EXCELLENT . JUST PUT SOME 18" WHEELS 235/40/18 ON FRONT & 265/35/18 ON THE REAR . TYRES ARE NANKANG NS2 SPORT ZR RATED . WHAT CAN I SAY , HANDLING WAS BRILLIANT , WET DRY DIDNT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE . THE CAR WENT EXACTLY WHERE I WANTED IT TO GO . DONT KNOW HOW LONG THEY WILL LAST AS THEY ARE JUST FITTED . OVERALL VERDICT , CANT GO WRONG FOR THE MONEY.
