Given 90% while driving a Volkswagen Golf MK7 GTI (225/45 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 800 spirited miles
Got them on my stage 1 mk7 golf GTI all corners. Not as good as mpss in the dry but still very good. A lot better in the wet than the mpss. Would take these over the mpps for UK roads. Also cost £350 for all 4 tires fitted at Kwik Fit.

I've used the tires for road use and one very wet track day. Dry handling is excellent on the road, although I never push super hard. Wet handling is excellent both on road and track. When my regular track day car was down for maintenance, I used the Swift on a very wet Oulton Park. The Goodyear's were superb and made up somewhat for the lack of power. Cost was cheap for premium tires and the only downside is that I suspect higher rolling resistance than the previous Conti's.

These tires just keep going and going. I have done 2
45 000km on them and still have 4mm left all round. They are now 5 years old and starting to chip. But still grip is insane, both dry and wet. Really really good wet tire.
Noise levels are low as well.
Their rim protector is also a nice feature. Never had any issues with these tires. I'm moving on to Continental maxcontact MC6 which have high expectations so I'll review those Soon.

Great tire!, fantastic grip in dry and wet condition.
I needed a tire that offered me total road safety and these Eagle F1 asymmetric 5 have surprised me very pleasantly.
I used to ride a Conti SportContact but they provided me with a regular grip, constantly skipped the ESP and they also worn out very irregularly (always with adequate pressures). With these new tires I have forced the exit and the curve tracing even in the wet and I still have not got the ESP light on.
Comfort noise is also lower than the Continental.

Had worn out efficient grip performance set on front from previous owner, after rotating the front asym3's to the rear after a while I really thought the car needed suspension work due to body roll and understeer but after fitting these Asym 5's I can see it was all the tires! Understeer is gone and has made such a different to body roll, sidewall seems much firmer. Only driven in the wet but seems to feel like it only struggles to grip in hard accel in 1st gear on wet roads which is understandable for a hot hatch with an open diff so very good. I was tempted by the new super sports but glad I went with these, cheaper, feel fantastic in the wet, will undoubtedly last longer and I'm sure I won't notice the difference for 99% of the time.

Previously used Asymmetric 3's which were very good and I were really happy with those. Opted for newer version as newer usually is better.
Grip in dry and wet has been excellent, including handling, taking faster curves or braking. Have not noticed any downsides from road feedback either (have not taken these tires to the track either). Wear appears to be very good as well.
Comfort on the other hand is really bad due to the noise it is generating, never seen or hear any tire that is even remotely close to this noise level, not even winter tires (e.g. goodyear Ultra Grip Performance G1 XL). Did the wheel alignment when tires were changed, not sure what is causing such noise levels.

It is a sensational tire... Excellent performance in both dry and wet... In curve the vehicle goes on rails, it is noted that they have improved the flank with respect to the previous Asymmetric 2 and 3... They have a more energetic braking... Previously I was riding a PZero and with these new GY I noticed a lot of improvement in terms of rolling noise.

I got the tires fitted to my car as soon as they arrived at my local tire store as I was really fed up with the tires the gallery had fitted onto my car. From the first drive out I must admit the first thing I noticed was the comfort. In comparison with Pirelli P7s I had on the car from the gallery, the difference was instantly noticeable. The car runs quieter on these and glides over the bumps far better. I am a very spirited driver and I enjoy taking the corners at the speed I'd like to go in the straights as well, with lots of lateral acceleration included for the tighter corners. The tires also impressed on this front very quickly. In fact the very first time I had them on after rolling out of the store it was pouring with rain and the tires obviously still had the polishing finish on them. Even at that worst case scenario they were as good as the Pirellis I had out.

At first:
In the dry: The tires are very comfortable and particularly tough feeling (you know, a lower frequency hit rather than a louder - higher pitch shake) over the bumps. In the corners, the grip is there at any speed you want, both in the medium and high speed corners they are very good. I have the 45% ratio, 17" version of these and I can assure you even with the rather big side wall size that I have got, there is absolutely no tire caused understeer in the dry. My car, being a French hatchback tuned at around 160hp / 350nm torque has a mid-strength oversteer tendency in off-camber corners as the car electronics try to stabilize the front grip, not sure how they managed that but anyway; in these situations, the tires deliver excellent road feedback and you can easily locate where they are, where they are pointing, and the gradual loss of grip as you oversteer. So I would rate their road feedback as 10/10 - really - it is perfect.

In the wet: You don't really feel you are in the wet as much as you would with other tires. GoodYear has always had wet grip as one of their strengths and it really shows in these. You can drive over even standing or flowing water without much extra caution in appropriate speeds, and in the corners the speeds in which you can take the corners is not effected much at all, over dry. No issues here really, however I must admit in the past 6-7 months or so that I had these I didn't get the chance to do much spirited driving in the wet as the traffic instantly worsens as soon as it rains.

After about 8k kilometers:
The tires are down about 1.5mm to around 6-6.2, I know I drive on their limit quite often - and nearly every day at some favorite corners on my commute route - but this does not bode as well as I hoped for their life span. I don't think I can run these to 30k+ kilometers or 3+ years but we shall see. However, despite that I feel the sharp road feedback and perfect responsiveness are still there, I feel as if the tires have started to take a bit longer to warm up. Lastly, the off-camber corner performance has improved somewhat.

Final verdict: I was on the fence between these and a set of Pilot Sport 4 tires when I bought them, but I am glad I chose these as it has been a great experience. I have used the same car with the PS4 tires and they feel more comfortable, yet not as sharp - so I think it is a further point for the Asymmetric 5 as I prefer sharpness. The tires still feel as good as they did on the first day, however - as I said - I am becoming concerned about how much I push them looking at the quick wear.

Given 94% while driving a SEAT LEON 1.8TSI (225/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 1,000 spirited miles
Replaced my factory tires (bridgestone potenza s1) with these, I gotta say that the grip is better! and they are much cheaper than my original tires so definitely good investment.
Also the Assymetric 5 has a good rim protector which the bridgestone I had didn't have at all..
Only con (which might count as a pro to some people): the assymetric 5 feels softer than my previous tires which means that the road feedback on the assymetric 5 is lower than the bridgestone, BUT, they absorb road bumps and pot holes much better so its up to what you prefer: more comfortable ride or better road feedback.

Bottom line - amazing tires for that price, super recommended.

Given 95% while driving a BMW 320 d (255/35 R18 W) on mostly country roads for 4,000 average miles
I am using these Goodyear Asymmetric 5 tires on a BMW 320d E91. 225 on the front axle and 255 on the rear.
Previously I used 2 sets of Michelin Pilot (good tire but too expensive!)
I think these Goodyear tires offer more grip in dry and especially in wet conditions, in comparison with the Michelin.
No issue of noise or comfort (18 inch with small sidewalls aren't really comfortable no matter the brand). I cannot tell about the wear since I drove about 5000 km. I definitely recommend them if your target is a tire with plenty of grip and to be used on your everyday car.
