Hands down the best tires i have ever used. The grip is just insane in both the dry and the wet. The confidence they grant you in the corners is incredible. Not much road noise either. They do appear to wear slightly faster than my previous set of falkens but not excessive by any means and i do drive them hard.
The only problem is that ive been spoilt by these tires and now i dont think i could go for anything less!
They are slightly more expensive than most tires but absolutely worth every penny in my opinion!

Changed all 4 corners 18 " 225/45 front , 245/40 rear.
Previously had GY assy 3, a very good tire generally but at speed had a tendency to drift due to its softer sidewall, especially in corners and sharp bends.
On the 5 Goodyear have used advanced materials to reduce the flex in the Tread which (they claim) has resulted in a crisp precise turn-in. I'm pleased to say its true. I've noticed a marked improvement in steering input and overall handling dynamics.
The tires are comfortable, smooth and absorb road imperfections well. In the wet the car feels safe and stable, no aquaplaning, water is displaced rapidly from the treads. In my opinion GY are the best in the wet category for UHP summer tires and now with the much improved handling and steering response it was an easy choice.
All in all a darn good tire for maximizing performance 8-9 months of the year. Covered only 5000 miles since last Nov (due to covid 19) and wear is minimal, longevity looks promising. I would most certainly buy again.
As with all UHP tires they are lethal in ice and snow and feel a little harsh in sub zero temps. Winter tires are a must.

great tire but by god they are noisy..like seriously noisy, completely ruins the whole experience as the perform brilliantly, if they weren't so expensive I'd have them straight off the car

Bought these for fast road and has always delivered and really feels just as comfy as any standard premium tire. Had these on track recently at llandow which is a tight technical track that can easily overheat tires, was in a standard 200 hp golf gti and frankly they felt very surprisingly consistent only on one or 2 occasions did i feel them to overheat and then it was very progressive and just a required a couple cool down laps. Overall if you want a good daily tire then get them, if you do the occasional track day as well like me and you don't have anything any more powerful or track focused than me they will still manage fine on track if needed.

I have a 2014 Audi A3 2.0tdi sedan and I bought it used with rather worn Pirelli P7 cinturato. I got a great deal on these GY F1 Asymmetric 5s and decided on a more sporty tire for what's not a really sporty car. I immediately noticed that the Asymmetric 5s were smoother than the P7 Cinturato. I liked their bite and grip, and they allow the car to be hustled more. Good wet grip and I don't get the wihhle and incipient aquaplaning I've had on Conti and Bridgestone or Pirelli. They are a little. More noisy than the P7s but I can live with that. Highly recommended.

I've used this on a precious performance car and the grip during downpour is as good as the dry warm summer days. Instant response when turning and comfort is improved. I previously used pilot sport 4 which is also an amazing tire but these bear them marginally and 2/3 the price makes it a no brainer.

A great tire all round and I decided to replace the OEM Bridgestone Potenza that had badly cracked on the tread of each tire. I’d previously had an Asymmetric 2 on my BMW Z4 and had no reservation in selecting the latest Asymmetric 5 as my replacement on my Mazda MX-5

I’ve decided to switch from Pirelli P Zero to Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 5. I was considering Michelin PS4S. But due to the price differences, I’ve decided to go with Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric 5. I feel more confident driving through corners in wet and dry road conditions. Overall, it is an excellent tires. I would highly recommend recommend this tires for those whom are looking for performance and comfort.

With 30,000 miles I have already had to replace the Falken that my Seat Ateca mounted from the factory. I do a normal driving but the Azenis FK453 at various times lost grip. They recommended me to mount the newest FK510 but I was looking for something of greater prestige and the best option in quality / price exists in the tire market are these Eagle F1 Asymm 5.
The change has been much better ... the dry grip is very good but in the wet these GoodYears are really surprising ... you can see that they drain a lot more water being more difficult to cause aquaplaning. Cornering handling is superior to previous Falken.

I've had Michelin pilot sport 4's on my civic 2.2 diesel ever since I owned the car. The car has been remapped and I do enjoy driving on twisty bendy roads. I find that in the wet the michelins lose grip and the car ends up understeering. Not something you'd expect from michelins with at least 5mm of tread on them. I fitted these Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 5's on the front wheels I went for the extra load version as the civic 2.2 is a pretty heavy car. straight away I could tell a massive difference in grip and handling. Way less body roll than before and way more grip in the wet compared to the michelins. Really impressed with these Goodyears. Noise level is not bad at all. maybe a touch quieter than the michelins. Haven't noticed any difference in fuel economy bearing in mind Have a heavy foot. Overall great tire and will definitely purchase again.
