I am a mature rider riding an old harley fatboy on days out around Wales mainly.The tire is comfortable and stable but after 3000 miles the mot guy recommends a new back tire 4000 its completely gone (thats not even one summer) .I am amazed at how many miles they say these tires can do

Comprehensive Breakdown
Dry Grip: Outstanding. Delivers maximum cornering precision, total stability under heavy braking, and massive traction on exit. It uses a dual-compound setup with no tread grooves on the extreme shoulders, giving you maximum rubber contact at full lean.
Warmup Time: Requires a proper 8–10 km street warmup to get sufficient core temperature for road riding. On track days, the rear can be run at lower pressures via NTEC RT technology to expand the contact patch without needing tire warmers.
Wet Grip: Very Poor. Designed purely as a dry hypersport tire with minimal siping. On wet or cold tarmac, water evacuation is low, making it slick and unpredictable.WHY BOTHER RIDING IN THE WET ...IT HAS ITS PURPOSE
Comfort: Extremely Rigid. Built with a stiff, race-derived carcass for high-speed stability and sharp turn-in. It transmits every bump and road crack straight to the handlebars—because it is a dedicated track/hypersport tire, not a sport-tourer.
Wear & Longevity: Durable for Track Rubber. Features Speed Vent Tread (SVT) to manage peak heat and prevent degradation. It lasts longer than pure track slicks, though aggressive street riding or highway commuting will still flatten the center relatively quickly.
I just got these new sneakers for my 2014 R1, and wow—just wow! The grip is incredible, providing unmatched confidence at any speed. They heat up quickly and practically beg for more lean angles.
Front-only review. I switched from DR3 front to DRIV four on the front, DR3 on the rear still had life left. They go well together, will replace the rear next month. I thought the DR3 was the finest tire I had ever ridden in my 3 decades of riding, and the 4 is noticeably better! sticks like glue, even when brand new. Warms up quick. Solid in rain, better than my 3. Extremely predictable as I push my lean angle limit -- on this tire, farther than I've done in my career. And it's all due to the tire 'wanting more lean' all the time! very predictable and super grippy, smooth progression-- seems to suit the Tuono's handling needs really well. I've had issues on Michelins and especially Metzelers, where the front will tell you when to stop your lean -- the 4 just keeps saying "give me more!" It almost seems to grip better, the farther over I go. Remarkable.

In comparison my super corsa's always felt like they lost temperature and grip very easy in colder weather. Had no nervous moments in the dry and only one in the wet being a little too enthusiastic will the throttle. Managed to get 6500miles out of the back before squaring off, while the front looks good for another 6k. Have purchased again for the new season.

If you want longer life from a tire, do not buy the sport attack 4. Excellent cornering grip and feel, not to shabby in the wet either. Very stable under hard breaking. On the track this tire is not out of it's depth.
The life span of the tire was very disappointing, By 1100 miles it was down to the wear markers and by 1500 miles the center of the tire had disintegrated completely down to the cables.
I think I will be going back to the road attack three, they offer above average feedback and performance and the mileage is usually at least 4500 miles.
They are great though I am a smooth driver but have high speed in the corners, also on track but most on road. They last pretty well. 6500-7000km.

The handling of the bike is very nice, have never had any surprises and the bike takes you where your thoughts are. You don't have to struggle or push to get the bike where you want it to be. ¨VeryNice¨.
