Tigar EU label data

11 of the 16 tires on record carry EU label data. These are the range's label headliners, using each tire's best available size figures.

B Best wet grip

2 tires reach EU wet grip class B. The highest scoring:

B Lowest rolling resistance

The most fuel efficient choice: 2 tires reach rolling resistance class B. The highest scoring:

68dB Quietest tires

The quietest tires in the range are labelled from 68 dB external noise:

Label values come from the EU EPREL database and vary by size - the figures here are each tire's best declared size. Wet grip and rolling resistance run from class A (best) to E; noise is the measured drive-by figure. A good label is a floor, not a verdict: the tests and rankings above tell you far more.

New Tigar tires

The newest arrival in the range is the Tigar Summer 3 SUV. 2 tires have joined in the last two years:

New Tigar tires, newest first
Tire Season On the market since TR Score
Tigar Summer 3 SUV Summer 2025 not yet scored
Tigar Summer 3 Summer 2025 not yet scored

New tires take time to earn a TR Score - tests have to be run and owner reviews have to arrive. A missing score is a data gap, not a verdict.

Great budget tire. Not so good on hot weather to much wear.

heard about tigar tires from family' were very satisfied with quality and price, went for tire size 235/45R18 Tigar summer 3 new generation, was really amazed with the outstanding performance especially on wet pavement, very secure feeling in rainy days, very comfortable, barely 10% performance difference from OEM equipment , almost 60% cheaper.
very highly recommend the Tigar new generation, guess a turning point in Quality/price ratio.

TIGAR are a Michelin brand. I only ever found them at ATS Euromaster. Priced really well, lasted me about 3 years and I drive about 10k a year. Very good in the wet, which is the most common weather in the UK. Not that quiet though, but that didn't bother me.

It was suggested by a friend. Performed amazingly well in different weather conditions especially on wet roads. would highly recommend, no wonder the great quality ; by the end it is a Michelin group product and also manufactured in Europe.

Tigar SUV Summer 215-65-16 Daihatsu Terios 27,000 miles May 11, 2026
I installed in 2021, the RIKEN 701 tires, (exactly the same tires as the KORMORAN SUV SUMMER, TIGAR SUV SUMMER, TAURUS 701) with dimension 215/65/16 102 H XL on DAIHATSU TERIOSΙΙ 1.5 4X4, (fourth tire on the same car). When changing from the previous MICHELIN LATITUDE TOUR (I did not prefer them again because they were not comfortable at all) I noticed a big difference in the behavior of the car. It became noticeably more comfortable in everyday driving. It effectively absorbs any bumps on paved roads (potholes, manhole covers, etc.). As if new shock absorbers were installed!! The car is used as a family car mainly on the road. Off-road it is occasionally taken on vacations and trips. In the summer on the islands of the Aegean Sea (Greece), for the approach to isolated beaches, on steep, rugged dirt roads with rocky outcrops, no problem arose. Even in the last sandy section, the tires coped on the sand without unpleasant surprises. Unfortunately, they did not happen to be tested on snow although they have an m+s rating. In general, there was no problem either on wet or dry roads (city, provincial roads, highways, etc.). They have been installed on the car for five years (45,000 km) and are going for the sixth year since they have no significant wear. Especially the rear ones are still like new. In conclusion, so far, I am completely satisfied with these tires in terms of grip in all terrains and weather conditions, as well as the low tread wear. But mostly they pleasantly surprised me in terms of the comfort they offer while driving. (surely a heavier vehicle will have different effects on the same tires). I believe that when the time comes to replace them, they will be among my first choices to install the same ones since they offer many advantages, are economical and fit perfectly on my light SUV.

Although sometimes Tigar tires are a decent budget purchases, this particular blend is problematic, since I was unable to notice any benefits of this tire, except the wear seems to be very low. It tends to track along road undulations made by trucks very heavily and has sudden loss of grip on low temperature surfaces, seemingly with no ice.
It seems to me like one of those compliance tires, made to fulfill the regulatory requirement for winter tires.
