The Rotalla Setula 4 Season RA03 has been in a number of tests and performed poorly in the wet, so I can not recommended this tire. There'a number of well rated Mid Range tires in your 205/65 R15 size

This is a follow up review from my first one in July 2025. 29000 miles in total now and one of them (used to be on the front) is starting to show significant wear on the inside edge. Plenty of tread in the middle. The other rear tire is still good and loads of tread on the fronts (rotated from back around 5000 miles ago) Frankly astonishingly hard wearing tires that have done everything I could ask from them. I cannot understand why they have received some negative comments from wet handling in the big tests. I still find them hugely grippy on wet roads, quiet, comfortable and on the few snowy and icy days we had last winter very capable. Dry handling is as good as any premium summer tire I have ever owned before. I was amazed at 6000 miles how little they had worn but seriously this just goes to show that manufacturers CAN make hard wearing tires that still perform superbly- well done Rotalla is all I can say. I have owned Michelin, Continental and Bridgestone all seasons before and these have performed at least as well but lasted TWICE as long- amazing. Particularly considering they are significantly cheaper. Guess what I will be replacing these with when the time comes? Be mad not too.

    Was getting a bit fed up with the crazy price of premium four season tires so thought I would give these a go. Glad I did. Comfortable, quiet and brilliant in the wet, very reassuring on a flooded motorway. Dry grip is also great, although they can feel slightly soft on fast bends. Overall though a brilliant tire for the money and I would definitely recommend. Wear (or lack of) is amazing. Have put 6000 miles on them and they have hardly worn at all, brilliant! They are also a tough tire, so ideal for my Astravan. Haven’t driven in snow yet but the tread pattern seems almost identical to a set of Bridgestones I used to have and they were good, so expect similar performance. They don’t seem to do very well in the big group tests but mere mortals doing everyday driving/commuting seem to rate them very highly, as do I.

Initial Impressions

Had these for a few miles now and driven in all conditions, wet/dry/snow and been fairly impressed with how they’ve performed. Michelins they ain’t, but at half the price they’ve performed way better than expected. I rated them slightly average in snow, but my car has 255 width tires so nothing would work very well in snow bar a full winter. Wet grip is decent and predictable although not as good as a premium tire. They are a bit noisier than a premium tire but not to a level that would put me off. Wear has been surprisingly good and they have worn evenly, still having 5mm after nearly 16k miles. As a budget/mid range option, I’d happily recommend these, and will buy again in the future

This is a follow up review for these tires, the 1st being in April 25. Tires are fitted from Nov-Mar and this will be their 3rd winter coming up. To date they have performed admirably in all conditions and there is still 5mm on all tires as I rotate them from front to back each time they are refitted. Given their performance I couldn't justify paying for a premium brand as these do everything I want. In summary a great value tire with decent performance and wear. Will replace like for like when required.

    Had a set of spare wheels so bought these to put on for the winter months (Nov-Mar). I live in a rural area with poor quality roads, I also have to drive down farm and forestry roads which are invariably rough, unpaved and muddy. I have found them to be excellent in all driving conditions they are predictable in the dry and wet we also had snow and again felt safe and assured at all times. They are also M+S rated and the treads never filled up like on summer tires leaving plenty of tire contact with the road. As we usually get limited snow in the UK I didn't think a full winter tire was needed and these have performed admirably in the lower temperatures. Wear is low, road noise excellent and ride great. For the price I personally feel they offer great value for money and would buy them again without hesitation.

Much better than expected and for a budget tire, these offer grip on a par with premium tires. No reason to ignore these based purely on price. Good grip in rain and slush, as well as dry conditions. These are also quiet with little road noise. Average wear though, mainly due to city driving.

Bought 2 Rotalla RA03 for the front to replace some Landsail CLV2 that have worn unevenly on the side of the tread. Im not a fast driver and do a mix of town and motorway driving. The difference was like night and day, noticebaly quieter on the road and confident under braking. A month later and I've just had two more fitted to replace the (Landsail) rears (which still had 4mm of tread) and the noise levels have dropped again, should have changed them sooner...

Recent snow in the north of Scotland gave me a chance to test this! For the money these are a pretty good punt and I'd buy them again. The budget manufacturers seem to be catching up with the big brands again (although there are some horrendous ones still about)
At a little over 6000 miles now they are showing little signs of wear too which is always a worry with the cheaper end of the market.

Very pleased with performance in a wide range of circumstances. Living in UK North East had our first snow and ice since these tires fitted and well pleased. Progressive breakaway In dry, wet, ice and snow. Not a summer tire so response perhaps little soft but still good enough for what they are. Definitely would buy again

Very good tires. I drive them 3 years now.They are great.After 50000 km,front are done,and rear are at half life,can go 1-2 year more.I would buy them again .

Good tires I drive a jaguar xf normally buy expensive I got them for 90 pounds each so far no problem at all very good grip on ice excellent on rain happy will see how long they will last hopefully will by again
