tires that only last 7000 miles on the front with my wife driving carefully cannot be good value

I on average commute roughly between 1000 - 1500 miles a week & although the tires were great in the wet, dry, handling etc the speed the tire wore down was disturbing. Ive been informed that you should expect no more than 10k per tire! - that's an expensive car, so to offset that i drive no more than 75mph - but usually cruise control it at 65 to try and balance the costs.

Ran these on my Ford Mondeo 2l TDI. They grip well and I found they were a comfortable ride. Sold the car recently and tread was just over 4mm after 13840 miles so should do around 27500 miles to near the limit. Most A roads 55mph+. Average driving.

Have now fitted 2 sets of these to my Saab 9-3 1.9 TID.
I am struggling to get 15k out of the front which for Michelin tire's I find bad. I used to get 22k out of Primacy HP's fitted to the rear of my V6 Omega.
When i got the car is fitted with Bridgestone Potenzas RE050A and I managed 17k on them and they'd done a few miles when I got it!
Worst lasting Michelin tire I've experienced so far. Grip is good as you'd expect for the price!

Amazing good tire. I'm speechless of how good it is on my car.

Had Hankook Ventus V12 on before and did not like them at all, changed to the Michelin Primacy 3 and the car is transformed. Steering good again grip superb in all conditions ride nice and supple again and very quite. I cant get over the difference a tire can make. Cant comment on wear as not done enough miles yet.

i have always loved Michelin tires, but Primacy 3 must be a huge production mistake.
Wet grip in high speed is totally absent, and they wear out in one season.

I do not get these. Surely a grippy tire such as this would wear out quickly due to a soft compound or make you sick with moving thread blocks. Strangly unlike Rainsports the thread blocks don't move. And unlike Dunlop/Continental the in the dry does not wear out. When you buy the best you get some sort of voodoo magic.

Have always fitted Primacy HP and got 18-22K miles on E Class. As Primacy 3 were only available last had them fitted. Great time in all ways except dissappointed with wear. Only 13800 miles and need to be replaced. Will give them another try especially with good ratings.

Been driving these for the last 6 months and done 6k miles on them. They haven't worn a bit! Drive is excellent in dry and in wet its as if its not wet at all! I have never ever felt so secure on wet road! These are just excellent!! Don't even think about it and go for them - they're only a little bit more expensive but they will keep you safe!

Excellent improovement on the Primacy HP
Doesn't last as much, but excelent on wet even with low tread.
My choice at the momment

I am no Sunday driver -- I do not commute or worry about economic driving... I drive for kicks and thrills and let me tell you... None of the other premium tires stick to the road, in wet or dry conditions, like the Michelin Primacy 3's... best tires to date, by a million miles!
