I was advised by my trusted fitter (35 years in the trade) that Autogrip tires are good middle of the road tires. I fitted them to a 2007 SEAT Leon 1.6. They are made in China in the same factory that manufactures Continental tires. Just google it and you will see this. The Autogrip's performed better than my first set Pirelli P7's. These things also outperformed Bridgestone Turanza's.I honestly think these tires represent outstanding value for money. I paid £220 for 4 tires fitted named tires you can add another £100 at least. My tire fitter runs a fast 2006 BMW 3 series and he fits these to it. That's good enough for me. Be wary of bad reports here and elsewhere - many people tend to trash makes they have never heard of or haven't used in the past. FACT - Most top of the tree (Dunlop, Michelin, Bridgestone, Avon etc.. are made in China too).

Were on the car when purchased at the start of the summer and were ok in the dry. However as we move toward winter and the rain arrives, wet grip is pretty awful. No real feedback on the limit in the wet, no confidence in the tires so you end up crawling round corners and roundabouts. Most certainly would not purchase or recommend.

the tires were added on a vectra I bought (front tires). the dealer had these for the MOT. just about acceptable in dry august days at 20C but come october with wet roads and 7-10C not really that great. they felt like a premium tire near legal limit. roundabouts and sharp bends need taken slowly in the wet. not surprisingly I have replaced these with a premium brand.
