Have had the 225/45-17 Nokian Z G2:s on a chipped Golf GTI this summer. As a Finn I know I can trust the domestic brand and I was not disappointed. They are a bit more expensive, but then you get what you pay for. The Z G2 doesn't have the Hakka insurance of the Hakkapeliitta tires.

The Finnish weather is very varied and although we all know when to change winter and summer tires, "takatalvi" is always present :). It is not uncommon for roads to freeze up in may and even snow to rain down. Same applies to autumn, it is equally unpredictable, yet the same tires have to work in all those conditions.

Who cares about the treads being "visually exciting"? The important thing is whether the tires deliver on the performance and handling!
