In each test the better of the two figures counts as 100% and the other as its share of it, so a 118 ft stop against 112 ft is 95%; each spoke averages the shared tests that recorded it. The scale stops at 92%: a point further in sits on the hub's edge, hollow. 5 measurements recorded in only one shared test are left off; every measurement is in the table further down.

Braking distances and lap times are better when lower; speeds, wear and grip figures when higher. A test's figures are its own: sizes, cars, surfaces and temperatures differ from one to the next, which is why the averages here are only ever of tests the two tires shared. "Scored" rows are subjective driver ratings: each test uses its own scale, so only the wins are counted.

All 19 GitiSportS2 reviewsI put these S2 on a Volvo xc60 to replace the original pzero
Have only driven about 7.000km on them. Primarily at hugh speed highway
The tires are very comfortable, extremely quiet (even withiut the foam inside like the Pirelli)and very precise on dry roads. Consumption seems better than on the original pirelli.
On wet roads it feels well balanced and secure. Only issue on cornering on wet and slippery roads the Tires lacks some grips and the vehicle understeers. But probably others would too.
Price they are OK, but thinking of trying the new Kumho next time. They seem great value for money
Yokohama Advan Sport V107

- 140,521 milesdriven by reviewers
Owners most consistently praise the Yokohama Advan Sport V107 for strong dry performance, with around three in five highlighting excellent dry grip and many also noting sharp steering and confident dry handling. - Outstanding dry grip and confidence under power
- Very capable dry handling with strong feedback
- Direct, responsive steering feel
- Stiff, sporty sidewalls that support hard driving
- Very short tread life and rapid wear
- Noticeable road noise/roar, especially on coarse surfaces
- Needs heat or a bedding-in period to feel at its best

Reading the results
Written from the test results and owner reviews above. It is analysis, not a measurement: where it and the tables disagree, the tables are right.
This head-to-head sets the budget-friendly Giti GitiSportS2 against the more established Yokohama Advan Sport V107 in the ultra-high-performance summer segment, both tested repeatedly in 225/40 R18 and 225/45 R18 sizes. Across five shared tests, Yokohama consistently excels in grip-driven metrics-especially dry and short-wet braking-while Giti counters with superior aquaplaning resistance, lower rolling resistance, and quieter road manners.
The picture is nuanced: ADAC ranks the V107 much higher overall (6/18 vs. 15/18) on driving safety, yet Auto Bild's performance test shows the Giti ahead overall (17/21 vs. 19/21) thanks to strong wet aquaplaning reserves, comfort, noise, and efficiency. Mileage and price-pressure also shape value: Yokohama tends to last a bit longer but often carries higher rolling resistance and a higher purchase price.
Conclusion
If you prioritize outright grip and stopping distances, the Yokohama Advan Sport V107 is the safer bet: it wins all shared dry braking matchups and most wet braking contests, with sharper dry handling and clearer steering feedback. Its slight mileage edge further supports long-term durability. The trade-off is higher rolling resistance, more noise, and only adequate aquaplaning reserves versus peers.
The Giti GitiSportS2 suits drivers who see frequent rain or standing water, commute long distances, or value efficiency and comfort. It repeatedly tops straight and curved aquaplaning, runs quieter, and posts notably lower rolling resistance-often translating to lower fuel use. Its weaknesses are longer dry (and sometimes wet) braking distances and less precise handling. In short: choose Yokohama for maximum grip and confidence at speed; choose Giti for wet-security in deep water, comfort, and running-cost control.

Finishing positions and measurements are transcribed from each published test. A test only counts here when both tires ran in it, so every figure was recorded on the same car, size and day as the one it is compared to.
About the TR Score
The Tire Reviews Score rates each tire out of 10 from every independent test result and vetted owner review we hold, so two tires can be compared even before a test has run them together.
