Data updated
Which should you buy?
Pick the Linglong Sport Master Winter if you want the best repeatable braking results (especially on snow) and the strongest value/running-cost case from this pair. Choose the Falken EUROWINTER HS02 Pro if your winters are mostly cold-wet roads with only occasional/light snow and you prioritize wet-cornering confidence and lower noise-but go in knowing it's less convincing in snow stopping and can look costly on wear/value in some test reports.
Where the EUROWINTER HS02 Pro is stronger
- Wet-road grip and control in cornering-type tests: strong wet handling/wet circle showings (e.g., 83.2 km/h wet handling vs 80.3 in Auto Bild Allrad 2026; 12.33 s vs 12.66 wet circle in Auto Bild 2025)
- Refinement: repeatedly quieter than Linglong in shared tests (e.g., 72 dB vs 73.7 in Auto Bild Allrad 2026; 70.21 dB vs 70.85 in Auto Express 2025)
- Often competitive in aquaplaning metrics versus Linglong (wins curved aquaplaning in Auto Bild 2025 and resists aquaplaning better than Linglong in Auto Bild Allrad 2026)
Where the Sport Master Winter is stronger
- Consistently shorter snow braking across all shared tests (6/6), with repeated small but meaningful margins (e.g., 28.7 m vs 29.5 in multiple 225/40 R18 datasets; 29.6 m vs 30.0 in 245/45 R19)
- Typically stronger wet braking outcomes overall (wins 5/6 wet-braking comparisons, including 40.6 m vs 42.4 in the 2026 50-set braking test)
- Strong value proposition in independent testing: notably lower running-cost metrics (e.g., AvD 2026 value 7.98 vs 11.84 price/1000; Auto Bild 2025 value 7.81 vs 15.04 price/1000)
The bullet points are analysis of the shared tests and of owner reviews; the measured wins in each discipline are in the tables below. Where the two disagree, the figures are right.

Wins count every measurement the shared tests recorded for both tires; a tick marks the tire ahead on that line. Subjective driver scores count as wins but are never averaged, because each test uses its own scale.

In each test the better of the two figures counts as 100% and the other as its share of it, so a 118 ft stop against 112 ft is 95%; each spoke averages the shared tests that recorded it. The scale stops at 95%: a point further in sits on the hub's edge, hollow. 4 measurements recorded in only one shared test are left off; every measurement is in the table further down.

Braking distances and lap times are better when lower; speeds, wear and grip figures when higher. A test's figures are its own: sizes, cars, surfaces and temperatures differ from one to the next, which is why the averages here are only ever of tests the two tires shared. "Scored" rows are subjective driver ratings: each test uses its own scale, so only the wins are counted.
Scores beyond the shared tests

All 4 EUROWINTER HS02 Pro reviewsReally solid tires, I didn't expect them to be good through snow however they performed very well. But they're even better on dry and wet roads.

All 4 Sport Master Winter reviewsDrove them one winter on really heavy snow in the moutains no problem at all the snow grip was really impresive even against some premium tires. I had no problems never got stuck even when i was trying to get stuck i saw many people with premium tires and same awd having trouble but not with this ones. The only problem is Wear I think if ur winter is mild and temp are high the tires will melt away. About to mount them for this winter to see did they change after 1 year.

Reading the results
Written from the test results and owner reviews above. It is analysis, not a measurement: where it and the tables disagree, the tables are right.
This is an unusually interesting winter-tire match-up because the two products come from different ends of the market and slightly different design intents. The Falken EUROWINTER HS02 Pro is positioned as an ultra-high-performance (UHP) winter tire-typically tuned to feel secure and precise on cold, wet asphalt-while the Linglong Sport Master Winter is a touring-oriented winter tire that's repeatedly framed by testers as a value-led option.
Across six shared professional tests (spanning multiple sizes from 225/45 R17 to 245/45 R19), the pattern is consistent: Linglong tends to win the headline braking metrics-especially on snow-while Falken more often looks better in wet cornering/handling-style disciplines (wet handling laps and wet circle grip), as well as refinement metrics like noise. The key question for buyers is whether they prioritize outright braking distances (Linglong's strength) or prefer a calmer, more confidence-building wet-road driving feel (often Falken's advantage), and how much running cost/value matters.
Conclusion
Measured purely by repeated objective wins in the shared data, the Linglong Sport Master Winter comes out ahead more often: it wins 5 of the 6 shared overall comparisons and is a clean 6/6 on snow braking. In the big 2026 braking shootout (50 sets, 245/45 R19), Linglong stops shorter in both wet braking (40.6 m vs 42.4 m) and snow braking (29.6 m vs 30.0 m), and those small-looking deltas matter because they repeat across multiple tests. It also frequently edges dry braking (for example, 31.98 m vs 32.72 m in Auto Express 2025) and tends to be positioned as the stronger “price-performance” proposition (e.g., AvD value score 7.98 vs 11.84 price/1000).
Where the Falken EUROWINTER HS02 Pro fights back is not so much in straight-line stopping, but in wet-road dynamics and refinement. In the Auto Bild Allrad 2026 test it's clearly ahead in wet handling (83.2 km/h vs 80.3 km/h), wet circle (16.33 s vs 16.69 s) and aquaplaning thresholds, and it's often quieter (e.g., 72 dB vs 73.7 dB in that same test; also marginal wins in Auto Express 2025). However, Falken's bigger problem is that several tests flag meaningful winter-safety weaknesses (notably snow performance and, in some reports, aquaplaning) plus potentially costly wear in at least one major test (Auto Bild 2025 projects 33,920 km for Falken vs 46,110 km for Linglong). The practical takeaway: Linglong is the more compelling “get the critical winter stops right for the money” pick, while Falken makes more sense for drivers who rarely see deep snow and care most about wet-road feel and day-to-day refinement-provided they're comfortable with its more inconsistent test-to-test results in snow and running costs.

Where this data comes from
Finishing positions and measurements are transcribed from each published test. A test only counts here when both tires ran in it, so every figure was recorded on the same car, size and day as the one it is compared to.
About the TR Score
The Tire Reviews Score rates each tire out of 10 from every independent test result and vetted owner review we hold, so two tires can be compared even before a test has run them together.
Who does the testing
Every test published as a Tire Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tires independently since 2007.
