BFGoodrich Advantage All Season vs Vredestein Quatrac

This head-to-head pits the BFGoodrich Advantage All Season against the Vredestein Quatrac in the competitive all-season touring space. Across four shared tests in 17-inch fitments, the Quatrac consistently finished higher overall (including a win in AutoBild 2024), while the BFGoodrich quietly posted standout metrics in dry stopping and winter traction.

The pattern is clear: BFGoodrich excels on dry and snow with low rolling resistance and frugal fuel use, whereas Vredestein dominates wet braking and handling, adds better noise comfort and wear, and delivers stronger value scores. Drivers choosing between them are essentially choosing their weather priority and ownership profile.

Best Review for the Vredestein Quatrac
Given 77% 205/55 R16 on a combination of roads for 7 spirited miles
They grip surprisingly well for an all season tire in the dry and snow. I have these mounted on a 8th generation Honda civic sedan with the r18 engine and these tires have me absolutely glued to the ground. I replaced my old Goodyear eagle "all season" tire which had the snow performance of a summer tire in the snow and didn't even preform well in wet or dry. But back to the vredestein, I once was screwing around (dry, 65°f) taking a highway exchang ramp a bit too fast, I hit one rather sharp bend at probably 55+mph and didn't break traction for a second, no tire squeal or anything. Conclusion

If your driving skews toward frequent rain or you prioritize confident wet grip and balanced handling, the Vredestein Quatrac is the safer, more rounded choice. It repeatedly tops wet braking by around 4-6%, shows superior wet handling and aquaplaning stability, and couples that with lower noise, longer wear life, and better value-explaining its superior overall test rankings.

The BFGoodrich Advantage All Season answers with reliably short dry stops, notably strong snow performance (traction and control), and lower rolling resistance that translates to small but consistent fuel savings. It's a smart pick for mixed climates with meaningful winter days and for drivers who value efficiency. In short: choose Quatrac for wet-road assurance and long-term value; pick BFGoodrich for winter bite, dry stopping confidence, and efficiency.

Footnote

This page has been developed using tire industry testing best practices. This means we are only comparing tests which have had both tires in the same test.

Why is this important? Tire testing is heavily affected by things like surface grip levels and surface temperature, which means you can only compare values from the same day. During a tire test external condition changes are calculated into the overall results, but it is not possible to calculate this between tire tests performed on different days or at different locations.

As a result you will see other tests on Tire Reviews which feature both the %s and %s, but as they weren't conducted on the same day, the results are not comparable.

Lots of other websites do this sort of tire comparison, Tire Reviews doesn't.
