Lexus RX 400h Tires

These are on a 2006 Lexus RX400H I just bought.
They ride and handle well on dry pavement, and even did OK in the snow we had this winter.
The wet pavement performance is horrible, though, on the verge of being dangerous.
Taking roundabouts in the rain, I can feel the front end wanting to plow straight.
Also, making an emergency stop when someone pulled out in front of me, my car slid between the antilock brakes trying to do their job.
My other daily driver, up till I got this car, is a 2002 Ford F150, and it would not have had any issues in the situations where this car slides on these tires.
I will be shopping for a replacement tire, even though having new tires was one of the reasons I bought this car.
These tires are not safe in the rain.

14000 mls over 20 months. Mixed usage almost all on tarmac. Did not inspire confidence, car felt harsh and skittish, very noisy on poorer surfaces. Tram lined badly. Wear seemed worse than I expected too, the fronts were down to about 3-4 mm after 14000 mls. Rears are 6 mm, I’d be looking at at least two tires by the next MOT in 4 months. Got a puncture in O/S/F on Friday 13th (!) and predictably enough it was right on the shoulder, so not repairable. I decided to go for two premium brand tires with N/S/F to spare, nearly £300, but just grin and bear it. The car was transformed! Back to the smooth, quiet, luxuriously riding Lexus that I loved ❤️ Handling is so much better, the steering is positive and no longer has the twitchy scrabble over broken surfaces and this is after replacing only two tires! Might just bite the bullet and buy two more Uniroyal Rainsport 5 for the rear, but not this month.

I find this tire very good in the dry and the wet giving good grip and predictable handling however I also find the tire quiet noisy unless the road is smooth Tarmac, if it was quieter I would be 99% happy with it.
