I fitted new Goodyear Eagle F1 As 2 to my car today and drove 60 miles on a mixture of wet and dry roads, dual carriageway and country lanes. First impressions are very good. The tires felt sure-footed, were quiet and steering felt positive. I will report again after a few thousand miles.

Bought a set of these to replace noisy Federal 595RS-Rs. which had lots of grip, but just didn't suit the GTI for daily driving. On past cars, I've had Michelin PP2, PS2,PS3, and these GY Eagle F1 AS2s are much better than any of those for 99% of daily driving needs and street performance. I'm surprised that they are this good in the wet as well as in the dry. I only notice a bit more noise in heavy cornering from the sidewalls rolling a bit on the tread. I can't say much for wear as I've only had these for 1,000km. Excellent tire for it's price and performance. Highly recommended for those who want the best versatile summer tire available.

Absolutely fantastic. Even I'm surprised I could say that about a tire but based on the reviews here, I bought a set to replace the Continental Sport Contacts on my Audi. The car came with Contis as new and I just kept replacing like for like. After being spoiled by low road noise from a set of higher profile winter tires the last couple of years, I was keen to fit a quiet tire. The Goodyear F1A2 had great reviews but knowing that a lot of internet reviews are just disguised marketing, took a little risk choosing them on this basis alone.

I needn't have worried, these tires are fantastic in handling and low noise levels. Sure footed grip in the wet, passing easily through standing water at motorways speeds just added to the confidence.

I thought these would be a few % quieter than the original summer Contis but I was wrong, these are extremely quiet, they make the car very different to drive too. Audi often get slated for steering feedback in the reviews. If you want to change that, fit a set of these. Oh, and you can turn the radio down, the cabin is much quieter too!

Too early to judge wear or progressiveness (I don't near tire limits on public roads in any case). These are priced similarly to the competition but certainly beat Continentals hands down!

Clearly better than the oem sc3 in every aspect. Eepecially in terms of stiff sidewalls and overall feedback

Just replaced the BS RE001 with these (225/40 x 18 fronts & 255/40 x 18 rears). Haven't done a lot of mileage yet, but immediately noticed a big improvement in noise, ride, response and grip over BS RE001 and OEM Sport Maxx. Drove in the wet the other day and the grip was amazing - BS would have been struggling for grip and the DSC would have been working overtime. Would rate these tires very highly and definitely buy again.

Just got this tire on today. Still early to review Them but from what I can gather, it's the perfect tire for my car. It's certainly quiet and very grippy. I had Michelin PS2 and I can really tell the diffrence. Goodyear asymmetric 2 is excellent all round. Reasonable price and a fantastic tire to have. No doubt I'll buy this again.

good value for money. I was using a staggered set of 225/45/17 & 245/40/17 Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 previously but now with the same size for F1 Assym.2, the difference is night and day!!! They grip so very well in the dry and wet roads & the occasional touge runs.

IMO, they are just as good as PS3 and CSC3 but for a lot less money. Dry & wet grip is suprisingly good. Comfy and quiet for long distance drives. Tire walls are a bit soft compared to PS3 and CSC3. Would definitely buy them again.

I had a pair of these fitted on the front and they really are excellent in every way, the best tires I've had on any car. This is the fourth type of tire I've had on the Honda Accord Type S and it's the best. Very smooth and very precise in all conditions. Highly recommended.
