Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 Owner Reviews

Review this tire

What owners say summarised from 366 reviews

Across driver feedback, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 is widely praised as a confidence-inspiring UHP summer tire with standout wet grip, strong dry grip/braking, and a noticeably quieter, more comfortable ride than many OEM-fit rivals (especially when replacing run-flats). Many owners also highlight stable high-speed manners, predictable breakaway, and reduced tramlining. The most consistent drawbacks are faster-than-expected wear for some drivers and a softer sidewall feel that can reduce steering sharpness, with a notable subset also reporting sidewall bulges/damage sensitivity on rough, pothole-prone roads (particularly with run-flat fitments).

Very rare but managed to buy a full set to replace the worn Michelin PS2s. OMG! So much better and so silent. With no doubt this is the best tire out the nowadays.

Great tires. Super good handling both on wet and dry. The car is very responsive (better than my old ContiSport3), and very very silent.
Don't know much about the wear yet, but after 2000 miles I can say they're barely touched.

I have changed from 215/50/17 ntc5's to these 225/45/17 A2's on my vectra c and all I can say is awesome lol....The grip is fantastic dry or wet (loads of roundabouts in my area so plenty to test on lol). The car feels more planted to the road which has boosted confidence in the handling. I have only covered 1500 miles so far and the tread still looks new. I would and have reccommended these tires to everyone. I think for the price they are well worth it and these truly show why goodyear made the best F1 tires ever lol......Keep it up goodyears

I have just switched from Michelin Pilot Primacy as the cost was going to bankrupt me. I drive 600miles/week on duel carriageway and sweeping A roads, these tires are a huge step forwards with regards to ride comfort, and the dry grip is exceptional. I can't mark them down for wet grip as it's been so dry recently.
There is a bit of noise when on concrete duel carriageway but nothing antisocial.
I bought them for £101 each fitted so they are not the cheapest available but if you enjoy a fast smooth ride then I can see very little that another tire could do better.

I have weared them today instead od Dunlop SP Sport 01. I have 255/45 R18 at rear and 235/50 R18 in front. So they are not break in. But first big differences: How quiet ride is and how comfort, also steering feel is very direct. After hunderds of km I will tell you something new.
