Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 Owner Reviews
Review this tireWhat owners say summarised from 366 reviews
Across driver feedback, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 is widely praised as a confidence-inspiring UHP summer tire with standout wet grip, strong dry grip/braking, and a noticeably quieter, more comfortable ride than many OEM-fit rivals (especially when replacing run-flats). Many owners also highlight stable high-speed manners, predictable breakaway, and reduced tramlining. The most consistent drawbacks are faster-than-expected wear for some drivers and a softer sidewall feel that can reduce steering sharpness, with a notable subset also reporting sidewall bulges/damage sensitivity on rough, pothole-prone roads (particularly with run-flat fitments).

Replaced Goodyear F1 Asymmetrics - which were excellent in every respect.
First impressions: 1) less noise - especially on rough stuff and concrete 2) more compliance - especially at low speed. Car feels as though it has additional springs fitted 3) No understeer at all. Grip is fantastic.
Brilliant tires. Highly recommended.

After reading the positive comments from this forum, I decided to try these new F! Assy 2. I have always been a Michelin Pilot Sport fan but we all know that although a great tire, the cost is a major prohibitive factor. Anyway after doing only about 25,000 on the PS2, I decided to try something else, apart from Michelin or Continental. Tried the Dunlop Sportmaxx but the ride was a bit harsh. Had two bad experiences with Pirellis so would not touch them ever again.
These newF! Assy 2 are great!! I just got them fitted today and being new, they are superb to drive on. The ride comfort is excellent and despite it being wet today, the grip was very good. The reason I did not use the word excellent was because the guy told me new tires have a protective layer over them which would take some time to break into. I ll wait till I have done about 1000 kms before I comment on them again.
But so far, I am very happy with them.
Thank you guys for all your help and feedback. Really appreciate them.
Hopefully, i have found a Michelin Pilot Sport alternative..
Cheers

I get such good feedback and progression in dry and drenched roads, and after 10K there is hardly any sign of wear.
I think it may be black magic.
