Good all rounder

The grip is incredible at high speeds! These tires wore quickly but were really great!

OEM fit from Mazda. In the damp or wet I daren't push them as they don't inspire confidence and the rear has twitched unexpectedly a few times (both mine and the cars)! This could be because I'm a spanner and this is my first RWD car, but I don't think 160 bhp should be troubling these! Also had the ABS cut-in unexpectedly a couple of times, albeit on a surface I know to have poor grip when wet.

No complaints about performance in the dry though, generally very difficult to unstick, responsive, feedback well, comfortable, not too squidgy on the sidewall either. Haven't noticed the noise issues some others have mentioned (although these are the only tires I've had on the car and I generally have the roof down).

Wear is APPALLING I've never known a tire go down so quickly and I've had soft stuff like Rainsports before. At 8000 miles there's probably 3 mm tread on the rear and 3.5 on the front. I don't think they'll manage much beyond 11,000 miles (17k km). I'm going to replace with Michelin PS3, PS4, Contisport 5 or Rainsport 3.

SUMMARY: Great in the warm and dry. No more than average in cool and damp. Would like to swap them before winter hits because I think they'll be very poor near any snow. Wear out veerrryy quickly.

I bought these for my subaru impreza to replace the like new continental sport contact 5's. The reason i changed is that the conti's sidewall's were too weak (94Y XL) and when corning at higher speeds you got no feedback from the front end, these suit the car very well.
These tires take around 500 miles to bed in and the steering feel becomes around 20% when they are.
Dry grip on these tires is very good and in the wet they are more than adequate for road use. I was never a fan of bridgestone tires but this is my 3 set of these on different cars inc the new Golf R and i think this is the reason the Golf R is noted for having descent steering, something not usually written in a review of a VAG car.

Very noise tires grip levels ok but conti 5 are fas superior tires.

Good Grippy all-round tire, just a bit squeely when driven hard, I would buy these tires again but they wouldn't be my 1st choice

Drove for 18440 km and tire still remains more then 50% tread. Even wear.

I've had these tires on my car for just over a year now. Usually tires last a year on my car the way I drive but these still have half their tread left so I expect to get at least another 6 months out of them.
I've had no real problems with dry grip although I noticed they do slide out earlier compared to when I had Continental.
Wet grip is ok but I don't push it when wet as I don't have total confidence with these. I learnt my lesson to ease off rather than be a test pilot as once when I had Michelin PS2 I spun around on a wet roundabout and found myself facing the wrong way.
Overall these tires are ok if you can get them cheap but I'd rather put in a little bit more cash and stick with the Continentals. I've tried every premium brand and found the Continentals to be the best. Although I haven't tried every tread pattern and there are a few new tires on the market now. I probably will buy Bridgestone again in the future but only when they release a new tread pattern. In the mean time I think I'll stick with Conti.
I have to say though I am impressed that these have lasted longer than other brands.

These were original fit, and have done 34000 miles, just thinking of replacing now or in the near future - I must be a different sort of driver than most on here, but still don't try to overtake me if I think you are being cheeky. The Bridgestones are poor, just not resilient enough, confirming my worst fears about runflats and the idiots at BMW who condemn you to using them. I've done 8000 miles with some Pirelli Sottozero Winter tires, also runflat of course and with the same premium, but which I am tempted to keep on for summer, as they are so much quieter (no thumping on poor surfaces), and offer so much more surefooted roadholding. Don't try to get past me on a roundabout on these, though I wouldn't dare be assertive on the Bridgestones, unless they were very warm and the tarmac absolutely dry.
Your collective wisdom hasn't convinced me what to buy next, which is my current question. I usually like Michelin, as I've been in their factories and seen how meticulous they are, but they seem to leave high speed rated BMW runflats to others, regrettably.

After 18,000 miles front tires are still above 50% and rear about 80%, dry grip is superb although slightly noisy but wet grip is dissapointing for a high performance tire.

had these come with the Gtd, seemed good for the first two years, front wore out at 14k miles replaced with Michelin pilot sport 3 - which didn't seem to have as much grip in the dry?
Kept potenzas on the back.. one has started to perish - the rubber is breaking up and.. the noise ! the noise is awful they still have 2-4mm tread but sounds awful & vibration and drone coming from them at around 20-50mph. feels like wheel bearing shot.. worse from the one that's splitting up.. they are on the front now but sound really loud..28k on the bridgestones so far - they will be replaced with Dunlop sport maxx rt next week..
