Was very unhappy with wear rate of my previous pair of rear tires (conti sport contact 3) was persuaded to buy these by a colleague in the trade and I am very pleased. They seem a bit noisier at higher speed, but I can tolerate that, but grip in both wet and dry seem good. Not too sure about the reviews that slate the tire for being appalling, hand on heart they're great and only £85 pounds per side. Soooooooo much better than the run_flat bridgestone's that were on the car when i bought it, now they ARE APPALLING!!!!!!!

I had dunlop spo1 on before these and I wanted the same grip and ride quality
put these on and I was very surprised, very grippy wet and dry no aqua planing at all and I drive aggressively also as quiet very pleased will buy again

This is the first time I have ever bought tires in 10 years of driving (I frequently change car), I spent a long time finding a budgest brand with good enough reviews for cars similar to mine (2011 Smax TitaniumX Sport 163TDCI). I had a puncture and paid £233 early in 2011 for one tire and didn't want to get ripped off again, I bought these after searching google (£78 per tire delivered) and after a few thousand miles I can report they are excellent and well worth the money. I would say grip in the dry/wet is about 90% of what the original one's were but that is when I push the car hard. For normal driving you'll never notice the difference.
We do lots of motorway miles and found noise to be about the same, all in all I reccommend these to anyone. Had to get XL (extra load) as it's an MPV.

Replaced 2 very expensive Pirellis for about a 1/3 of the price on the rear axle of our 330CD M Sport because the Accelera Alphas fitted to our Freelander have been great.
Took the car out in wet weather just like the guy below immediately after fitting because of some of the more sensational comments left here. The car drove normally - plenty of feedback, excellent mechanical grip (even in the wet!) and the vehicle stops and turns without ABS intervention as usual. I hadn't expected these tires to last ages because our car has heaps of torque and eats its rear tires every 12k or 14 months even if you spend £200+. These tires have done 2500 miles in 3 months and the wear is comparable and even.
I would definitely buy these tires again.

I have 255 x 35 18's on the rear of my SLK 350 and have found them to be ok in all conditions. Hard driving and cornering never given me a fright. Pushing 3.5 litres into them I can spin them on a wet road but that would apply to any make. I drive within the limits of the road and traffic. Its not a race track so why do we need race car tires. Look at the latest rating labels ABCDEFG and they out class some of the top brands

I couldn't afford premium or mid range tires so had to get something legal, and fast. I had heard mixed reviews about Accelera in the past, but didnt stop to ask the garage what budget tires they would be.
Drove 30 miles home, didn't notice anything untoward.
Got home and read scathing reviews on this forum, many saying these tires should be illegal. This was very worrying, so, as it was raining outside and had been for some time, I took the car for a spin on a bendy road.
I started cautiously but got confident quite quickly. I would say my manner of driving was "aggressive" and I deliberately carried more speed into bends and braked later than I had been before the Acceleras were fitted. I was not driving in an illegal or dangerous way, so I was sure that the tires would cope with my normal mild-mannered driving, wet or dry.
I had also carried out an emergency stop test at 30 mph and 40 mph. I did not skid and could feel the ABS controlling the stop. Again I was confident that I would stop in town. I was quite surprised by this as the reviews implied that I would be in for a scare.
I also did a controlled stop from 50mph and the result was positive.
Needless to say I drove with traction control enabled. The car is a 2007 3-door Astra SRI, tire is a 225/40 18Y.

Very good for budget Tire, I driven this tire for almost 15k km. Daily driving 60km per mostly in traffic , i'm living indonesia the road quality and surface can be said poor. but this tire can handle bump in the rain or sunny weather. the sidewall so strong so i dont hv to worry got bulging when in hit a bump in avarege speed at 60-80 kmh. But slightly noisy in concrete road.

These were recommended by the garage that services my 2011 Mustang GT. I am based in the UK but regularly drive to Spain and I was fed up with the lack of wet weather grip and noise from the original Pirelli P Zero Nero's.
Given these were less than 1/3 of the price of the Pirelli's I was unsure but gave them a try anyway.
What a difference - the car is completely changed for the better.
The tires were fine in the UK in the wet and on the run down to Spain via Germany (where it rained from time to time) Austria, Switzerland and France.
The car feels more stable in the wet with better grip. With the Pirellis the back end was away at the slightest hint of dampness - no more with these.
In the dry the tires are just as good as the P Zeros but the most significant change is the almost 100% reduction in road noise. Over the 2000' trip the car has been a joy at high speed prolonged cruising, with little road noise we were actually able to listen to the radio at 90mph (on the autobahns of course).
Given the Pirellis are 250 a corner the Accelera's are a bargain.

Before i look at the car, ill look at tires, i just have this thing for tires.
try all the good tires like michelin, continental, goodyear and dunlop.
recently i have been asked to try the Accelera PHI and they told me they been made by same people who has made continental.So why not free tires to have some fun on the track,
i could not believe it they are great they have grip like top of the range and can take crones like im driveing in a straight line and the bestthing is the price.
i think they are great tires for money,
