Tire is a great choice, top notch quality with a great price. Lasted for more than 18,000 miles with fast driving. Grips incredible, especially taking in consideration its price. Definitely recommend them and buying them again.

Really good value for this price category. Good handling in wet and also in dry roads. Maybe a bit more noisy..

Bought used car with two tires in good condition so I needed a budget pair for a front axle. This Platin model is made in Conti plant in Germany (it is size dependent, some other dimensions are made in Conti plants in Portugal) so I thought they could be a good choice as I mostly drive in town with mild winter conditions, without heavy snowfall, but I need winter tires in order to be legal on the road. And they are no disappointment by any means, really good budget tires. Dry grip is excellent, nothing to complain about. Wet grip is very good, which is surprise for a budget tire, as they often fail in this field. No breaking or handling issues, whatever the weather. Good road feedback for a winter tire of this profile. Also pretty quiet for a winter tire with directional tread. Good, but not excellent, grip and handling on snow, you may have to use chains in heavy conditions. Tread depth was 8.5 mm when fitted, now (after 15k miles) they are at 6.2 mm. Could be better but this is not surprises as I use them on a front axle as all-season tires. If bought all 4, with regular F/R swap, they could make about 35k till 4 mm mark. Even in my case they will live long enough till next autumn, as I plan to put GY Vector4Seasons gen-3 SUV on all wheels. If I would be on a thin budget, I would not hesitate to buy them again, very good value.

Fitted on front axle only. My driving style is absolutely normal. On dry surface they are very good and quite good on wet as well, despite the tarmac of the roads where I live is not water draining at al. Handling and steering are not very precise because the shoulder of the tire is not stiff enough, despite it's XL rated. Even if inflated at max load pressure and XL, the tire feels the weight of the car. But the BIG downside is the noise. They are extremely noisy, even more than previous Riken that I replaced because old and noisy due to too hard and cracked compound. I would by these Platin only if much less noisy, because I like the grip they have on tarmac.

At first it was very remarkably comfortable like riding on pillows, a bit floaty with little feedback from road but with a good steering response. At beginning dry breaking was terrible, feeling it will never stop, but after breaking in, the problems with dry breaking have disappeared. It is a good medium quality tire giving confidence on snowy and wet roads.

I've now run these tires throughout spring, summer and autum. I wasn't expecting a lot from the very random brand up budget tire but they have ended up being pretty much alright.

In gentle, normal driving conditions I've found them to be quite grippy in the dry, and okay in the wet in a straight line. The issues with the tires primarily come around when cornering. Harder cornering in the dry feels like it folds the sidewall over, so you transition from fairly direct steering to very vague steering mid-corner. In the wet, too much steering angle while accelerating often results in spinning wheels where previous tires have been fine. I wouldn't fancy using them through the winter.
