Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

What is the maximum number of years one can use a Mxxis SUV tire before one can say tire has expired?

The general view is 5 years of use, and if stored properly for the first two years that would make for 7 years since the production date on the sidewall, but as always conditions can affect this so inspect your tires regulary.

Top 3 Maxxis Bravo HT760 Reviews

Given 41% while driving a Dodge dakota (245/70 R16) on a combination of roads for 20,000 average miles
Living in the Northwest, these tires made my life miserable when driving in wet road conditions. Too many times I was fishtailing in fall/winter time frame so much I started to not drive my vehicle in wet conditions. On dry road conditions the tractions were solid and a comfortable ride.

Comfy and good cornering.

Given 87% while driving a Toyota Land cruiser prado (265/65 R17 H) on a combination of roads for 60 spirited miles
My Toyota Landcruiser Prado 4.0 L came with the Dunlop Grandtrek AT20 equiped. What a terrible tire, no grip in dry and wet. Especially in wet you had to pray not to slide when you where turning. When I had to change them they recommended me the Maxxis Bravo HT760. I was skeptical to buy them as they were very cheap, compared to the Dunlop's, but the tire shop owner told me that they are very good, even if the price tag is less. I decided to buy them and since that day I love driving my Prado again. They are very quit, very comfortable and they have a lot of grip in dry and they are very good in wet. Also the wear is astonishing as I had 100,000 Km until I changed the tires again, buying of course the same tires.
