Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric Owner Reviews
Review this tireWhat owners say summarised from 122 reviews
Across 122 reviews, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric is most often praised as a confidence-inspiring ultra-high-performance summer tire with standout wet grip and strong dry cornering/braking. Many drivers report improved steering feel, stability, and a quieter/more comfortable ride versus common OEM alternatives (Pirelli/Bridgestone/Continental). The main recurring drawback is tread life variability-some owners see excellent mileage, but a sizable minority report rapid wear and higher running costs. A smaller but repeated theme is increased road noise on coarse surfaces or as the tire wears, and it is widely noted as unsuitable for snow/very cold conditions.

So after reading about Nokian's quiet tire reputatin I tried a set of Nokian Z G2 in the hope for an even quieter ride but these turned out to be noisier especially on smooth tarmac, which was quite surprising. Also ride was much firmer, probally due to harder sidewalls.
So changed back to F1s. Much better. They had only done 2300 miles anyway.
Hope this helps

However, they just do not suit this car at all. From new they were fine, but after about 1000 miles they started to become twitchy. As they have worn further they have become very vague and do not track well at all, following every trough in the road. This makes for a tiring drive having to constantly correct the steering. Wear is also not great, only about 2.5mm remaining after just 12,000 miles.
I had high hopes for these tires but regrettably would not buy them again for this car.

Love these tires, acres of grip in thr dry and in the wet. I only whished they lasted a bit longer. That said I dont hang around when driving. Definately would recomend and definately would buy again.
My car is not really designed for comfort being a two seater roadster, so I am unable to comment.
