Given 60% while driving a Skoda Octavia vRS (225/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 5,000 spirited miles
Bought these tires on the strength of several online and magazine reviews to replace the front set of new Vredestein Vorti's following side wall damage (wife's fault!!). VERY impressed with the Vorti's, which had excellent grip and feel in all weather.
By comparison the Eagle F1's are awful and more expensive!!!! Poor grip out and through corners, average grip when breaking suddenly. They look ok and the comfort is better than the Vorti's but i would not buy again.
How i'd rate my tires over the past few years:
1. Vredestein Vorti (Skoda Octavia vRS)
2. Michelin Pilot Sport 3 (Seat Leon FR)
3. Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta (Skoda Octavia vRS)
4. Vredestein Ultrac Cento (Skoda Octavia vRS)
5. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 (Skoda Octavia vRS)
6. Continental Sport Contact 2 (Seat Leon FR)

Given 59% while driving a BMW 520d Tourer (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 9,000 spirited miles
BMW 320d Touring 190BHP. 225/45/17 All round great tire. Most suitable for the the average driver as it looks after you in the wet and dry and is very progressive. If you want to push it, you'll notice the soft sidewalls which are more curved on the outside of the tire, I presume to counteract sidewall movement on turn in. However they still feel a bit woolly. Tire wear was a shock 9k on NSR 11k OSR. I assume that its roundabouts and right hand bends on country lanes. That cost the 2k. Wife drives it 50/50 with me. I try look after tire life and look for maximum cornering speeds. The car averages between us about 42mpg. its been 4 wheel aligned, wears all 4 tires evenly has polybushes and is lowered slightly. So the wear is surprisingly bad when they are pushed. Maybe i should look for a tire that is more responsive wears better but isnt progressive and forgiving and doesnt grip as well (longer life)?? For the road...? dont think so. You cant have it all at the same time and these tires deliver a lot in each area but the cost is tire life.

Given 91% while driving a Audi A4 2.0 TDI 140 SLine (235/45 R17 W) on mostly motorways for 53,000 easy going miles
after driving with these tires for 53000km it has about 3.2mm thread left. wear is very good (inflated 41psi). even wear across tire. goes through puddles of water on curve with confidence at about 100km/h. love these tires but apparently they are not available anymore in sydney. going for the goodyear directional 5 soon.

Given 100% while driving a Alfa Romeo 147 (205/45 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 2,500 spirited miles
After loads of research I decided on the GY F1 Asy 2 tires as the best without going too crazy with my budget. The existing tires were unknown brands with the fronts being well worn. Putting the GY on the front, the car immediately came to life, great feedback, excellent steering, reduction in road noise and an immediate 8-10% decrease in fuel consumption (but only when my wife is driving!). These tires do what they say - Excellent for noise, fuel consumption, grip - but still have to be tested for wear. Here's hoping.

Given 100% while driving a Audi TT S (245/40 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Very impressed with these tires so far. Extremely good grip in the dry and funnily enough they grip just as well in the wet (very important as I live in Scotland!). The best term I can use to describe this is 'confidence-inspiring', on the limit the tires feel like they are really working for you and suit the Quattro drivetrain of my TTS perfectly. Even my wife who is car-naive brought this up.

Compared to the stock P-Zero Rosso's supplied by the factory, the Goodyears are noticably quieter and comfort levels are improved also. Quieter tires such as these means my wife can enjoy her Sports Exhaust note alot more. She is also squeezing an extra 15-20 miles out of each tank of petrol, which is nice considering how expensive petrol is these days! Too early to say about long term wear, but after 1000 miles they still look new!

I bought these tires after reading rave reviews on this site and noticing it tops the tables in the user reviews, whilst also winning a recent Premium Tire challenge by a UK motoring magazine. Will definitely buy these again.

Given 97% while driving a SEAT Leon 140PD (225/45 R18) on a combination of roads for 8,000 spirited miles
These tires completely transformed the handling of my car. I was running ditch finders and had no confidence in my car at all and 2 very close calls, I put these on and it's cornering like it's on rails. Handles in all weather conditions and can't fault them :-)
Currently done about 8-10,000 miles and still have about 3.5-4mm tread left.
Defo a great tire.

Given 99% while driving a Subaru Impreza WRX STI (215/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 1,000 average miles
Best tires for daily drive I have ever used. Grip level are astonishing seeing how quiet and comfort these tires are. Sidewalls are a little too soft but gives comfortable ride without sacrificing feedback that much. Seeing how there are other tires with less performance but greater price, these tires are a real bargain. Will use these tires on all my car from now on.

Given 71% while driving a SEAT LEON 1.8TSI (225/45 R17 W) on a combination of roads for 17,500 spirited miles
Very good allaround tire but not as sporty as should it be. It has very good dry grip and also is very good tire on rain. The car stops in shorter distance whith these tires and the comfort is high. They warm up very fast and they look to wear slow. My previous tires were Bridgestone Pontenzas RE050A which were a real sporty tire with lots of grip and road feedback but they wear too fast (2 sets of tires for 16000 miles). On the other side the GY F1 asymmetric 2 don't have good road feedback because the have too soft sidewalls.Grip is good from the begining to the end of their life, after 17500 miles they continue to have good grip.
Good allaround tire with long life but not a sportive tire because of the low feedback from the road.

Given 64% while driving a BMW 330i M SPORT SALOON (255/35 R18 W) on a combination of roads for 7,000 spirited miles
Bought set of 4 of these for BMW 330i msport {E90} six months ago, 7000 miles later!!!! rear passenger side is scrap' rear drivers side 1mm left to markers' both front 4mm. Changed from run flat Potenza to these, much better driving feel from these and slightly better grip, and less tram lining/jumping about. But, I got 12000 miles out of Potenza rears and 24,000 miles from potenza on the front. Goodyears are great, but are not worth the money as I'll have to buy two sets of these to one set of Potenza.

Given 87% while driving a Mazda 6 Series (215/45 R17 W) on mostly country roads for 1,000 average miles
Replaced my Potenza RE040's which had run 20k miles and were down to 3mm. They had become skittish in the wet and, in the year of using them on this car, were perennially rumbly and bone-shaking.

What a difference. In their first 2 weeks, I put them through heavy doses of standing water, loose and compacted snow (unclassified roads through to major A-roads) and dry conditions. Sweeping bends plus emergency braking.

Apart from a (grin-inducing) four-wheel drift on their first day (entering a roundabout at 40mph...), they have been quieter, more comfortable and more grippy in each scenario, compared to the Potenzas. Only 1000 miles in but, based on this experience, fabulous tires for the money. I will buy again.
